A much deserved honor for a wonderful man.
A wonderful man so well deserved and speaks of how the Phillies value his impact. His impact on me is pretty simple as he is the person who opened the door and helped me start my career. Whenever we would run into each other over the years it was like we had just seen each other and not skipped a beat. I’m forever grateful for his influence on my career and what he did for the Phillies, the city of Philadelphia, Phillies Fans, and the countless lives he touched. Thank you and Congratulations David.
So well deserved! It was an honor to work with him for close to 2 decades, the lessons I learned from him I still use today. One of the nicest gentlemen I've ever known.
I had the honor of being the Phillies broadcast rights partner working closely with the organization during the late 90’s through mid 2000’s, these were final years of the Vet … some might have called them the dark days …but Davids vision, optimism and brilliance would not be denied as he and his crew laid the groundwork for Citizens Bank Park .. a fitting honor on the 20th anniversary of CBP
Congrats Mont! Well-deserved!
Dave was kind and generous to everyone he met and made everyone feel special. A great way to honor him.
Anyone who knew him, knew he was HOF. Very blessed to have been part of his staff.
Dave was a wonderful leader and an even better human being. He was kind to everyone he met. It is a well deserved recognition.
Dave was the absolute best! Well deserved.

3moI was at a spring training game and my son was about 6 years old at the time ran after a ball that was hit out and he got the baseball. Innings later went back to our seats and somehow he dropped the ball and it rolled down and was lost. Obviously, as a 6 year old you are upset. We were walking the concourse and Dave Montgomery saw him and asked me why he was upset. I told him what had happened. He said I can fix that and walked him down the rows to where Coach Manuel was located and yelled to Charlie Manuel as the inning concluded to throw him the ball. He gave the ball to my son. This is the type of man Dave Montgomery was. Class act and there for the fans. Well deserved and I am glad he will be on the Wall of Fame!
