This is also the time CheckMyBus started to create a search engine to make it easy for users to find a bus in Germany. Today Germany is about 3% of our business. We decided to go international fast - with now 21 domains and stops in 90 countries. Our goals remain the same. ✅Making it simple for users to find the best and cheapest bus, everywhere. We believe this helps to grow market and domestic travellers our tourists shift to bus travel. ✅Making it simple for operators to fill there business with customers around the world - and make them loyal to their brand. ✅Be the most efficient channel for operators or OTAs to acquire users with a high purchase intent. Over time we have started to work with universities, associations and other partner on knowledge sharing on markets or digital. The bus market has huge potential to grow. A Requiem Mass for MaaS Global Ltd, to start the Holy Week. One of the hottest startups of Finland as I joined in 2019, but bankrupt in 2024. Strategic decisions may not have agreed with the global events, but as for my post being Solutions Architect and Product Owner of both Whim B2C and white label products for past years, I can very proudly look at our tech achievements: * Maintaining and further developing a product designed to be completely scalable, serverless, transportation mode agnostic, integrating mobility products and service providers through dozens of bespoke APIs * Integrating search and product mapping with multiple external and self developed route planning providers * Creating a telco-grade rating, charging and product bundling architecture with self hosted or external accounts, no-code rateplans and multi-tier loyalty engine * Creating and employing systems and processes to detect, deter and prevent fraud * Bringing Whim to Japan, Switzerland and Italy * Creation of Condo MaaS, a rent subsidised mobility plan, with app based access to house specific fleets * Creation of Whim Ride mobility plan, with flexible pricing dynamics considering time, QoS, weather, past behavior and monthly budget * Product pivot to B2B2C and multi-tenant architecture with white label features .. and lots of smaller achievements. Klook Completes US$210 Million Funding, Embarks on a New Era of Profitable Growth Klook, Asia’s leading platform for experiences and travel services, announces that it has successfully completed a US$210 million financing, supporting business growth and fortifying financial stability. The equity round is led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from BPEA EQT, Asia investment funds Atinum Investment and Golden Vision Capital, and corporate investment arms from Southeast Asia, including Krungsri Finnovate (under Bank of Ayudhya), Kasikornbank Financial Conglomerate and SMIC SG Holdings. The round also includes bank facilities from Citi, J.P. Morgan, and HSBC. Ethan L., CEO and Co-Founder, credits this accomplishment to the collective efforts of the team in establishing the groundwork for the post-COVID era of travel. “During the pandemic, we doubled down on our resources in merchant digitization and the expansion of our supply network, including car rentals and outdoor experiences. This positions us strongly to capture new travel trends coming out of the pandemic,” said Lin. “We are pioneering a transformative era of travel, catering to a new generation of more digitally-savvy travelers with bigger and bolder appetites for unique experiences.
