Today marks a major milestone for Intel with the launch of Intel Foundry, the world’s first Systems Foundry for the AI era. It was a pleasure sharing the stage with industry leaders and visionaries including CEO of Arm Rene Haas, Eric Fisher VP Corporate Sales at MediaTek, and Broadcom’s VP of Central Engineering Yuan Xing Lee who share our vision of a systems foundry approach to unlock the full potential of AI.      Our Intel Foundry approach brings together: -- The most advanced packaging, assembly technology, and test capabilities -- Industry-leading interconnects and open standards -- Cutting-edge software and services   We also unveiled a new process roadmap with Intel 14A and several process node evolutions. When we put all the elements together, design and optimize the systems together, we have an end-to-end systems foundry roadmap. Our systems foundry approach and roadmap will help our customers see accelerated success in this new era of computing, backed by a robust ecosystem and resilient, sustainable capacity.      It is a big day for Intel Foundry and I’m incredibly proud of all the hard work put in to get to this point, and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.   Intel Foundry: we were made for this. Faraday Technology plans to work on a 64-core processor based on Arm's Neoverse designs and will be using Arm's Compute Subsystem (#CSS) processors to do so. The CSS design leaves little room for customization and is the closest Arm has come to designing whole processors for their customers. 🎯What's fascinating about this partnership is Faraday's decision to fab the chip on Intel's 18A process tech, which is expected to deliver considerable improvements in #efficiency by simplifying power and data routing. Intel is expected to be the first to market with this technology, which will supposedly be "manufacturing-ready" later this year. NVIDIA's AI success propelled it into the top 5 semiconductor companies, with 56% revenue growth in this segment, while most others declined in 2023. Over saturation and lack of demand in storage segments led to 11% industry revenue drop, except for AI-driven non-memory semiconductors.
