We are part of the 2024 World Sustainable Energy Days in Wels (AT)! With our new technology, we are setting new trends in the mobile pellet stove product, which we would like to share with the pellet community. On the 6th of March, the focus will be solely on the topic of pellets. But what is the European Pellet Conference all about? The largest annual pellet event worldwide! With more than 450 participants each year, it is the meeting place for the global pellet community. Leading international speakers present the latest trends in markets, policies, technologies and innovations – helping you stay on top of developments in the pellet and bioenergy world. ZEBRA-LIFE PROJECT This is a complex, but very interesting one. Here’s what they do: They pick up a waste substance from the paper and pulp industry. They process it. And they test it for use as bio-based additives, which prolong the life of certain products. Efficient, clean, and green. AIRE Project Wind power is an excellent source of energy. AIRE is working to make windmills more durable and reliable. In a word, better. So that wind can power our lives for longer. HYIELD They convert Europe’s biowaste into clean hydrogen, an eco-friendly energy source. This demonstrates how waste can more cleanly power industries such as aviation. It’s all about smarter, greener energy. PRIMED PRIMED connects dots for a sustainable future by linking primary producers like fishermen, forest owners, and farmers with advanced biorefineries. This collaboration turns bio-waste into value, crafting a circular bioeconomy that’s both more sustainable and interconnected Together, we’re not just marking Earth Day; we’re actively contributing to a sustainable legacy for generations to come. ✈️ ⛽ At the AIBN we’re passionate about the planet, and finding new and innovative ways to help big businesses get to net zero. That’s why we’re delighted to see State and Federal governments backing another homegrown sustainable aviation project to convert ethanol – made from agricultural waste – into jet fuel. The new Townsville project, valued at $36.8 million, will support the development of production facility capable of producing approximately 110 million litres of low carbon liquid fuels such as SAF and renewable diesel each year. 📖Read more here via the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, and Steven Miles: https://lnkd.in/gp5tWfZD Heavily involved in this initiative is LanzaJet - the sister company of long-time AIBN collaborator LanzaTech – as well as Jet Zero Australia, whose chief executive Ed Mason was on hand in August to help us launch the $60 million UQ Biosustainability Hub. The BioHub was similarly born from a collaboration between industry, research, and government, and is a one-stop-shop for big companies to transform their production practices and create carbon neutral economically viable products and materials. Our researchers at the UQ BioHub are also working to convert industrial waste into sustainable fuels by feeding it to specially engineered microbes.   It’s yet another example of how academia, industry, and government can unite to fill a future energy need that could also bring prosperity to the local economy.
