Nicknamed 'Volunteer Man of India' | CEO & Founder of Team Everest | Enabled 1 lakh+ people to Volunteer touching 1 Million lives | Working to make Volunteering a Habit & Lifestyle | CSR & Employee Volunteering Mentor
You CANNOT do it. You don’t need EDUCATION. You are always less than a MAN. These are just a few things our girls face in their day-to-day lives. We decided to tell them these are NOT TRUE and they are 'Unstoppable.' What did we do? 5000+ Volunteers from 18 Corporates decided to make 'Unstoppable She' kits. They made a kit with inspiring women’s story cards, beautiful bookmarks with positive words for girls, and many more. 5000+ such kits were made. Volunteers visited schools across India. They interacted with thousands of girls, gave motivational talks, clarified their queries, shared how powerful girls are, and distributed the 'Unstoppable She' kit. Why did we do this? Because they are 'Unstoppable' and it needs to be told. #volunteering #volunteers #CSR #CorporateSocialResponsibility #inpersonvolunteering #virtualvolunteering #SDGs #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #ngo #teameverest #womensday2024 #womenempowerment #schoolgirls

I vividly remember visiting an orphanage home with around 100 children, aged 8 to 13, under the care of the Kwara State Government. Walking in, I felt a mix of happiness and sadness ,happy to see the children playing and laughing, yet sad thinking about their circumstances. One of my most fulfilling experiences was co-leading the Satara Initiatives - Make a Child Smile (#MACS) project, alongside #Jummy, under the initiative owned by Adebukola Adewoyin. I used my sewing skills to create nose masks for these little angels, and it brought me immense joy. But it also made me think deeply: 🩸What did these innocent children do to deserve this? 🩸How will they be treated when they grow up and face the world? These thoughts stayed with me, reminding me of the care, love, and attention every child deserves but may not always receive. Visiting the orphanage was a life-changing experience, one that made me truly appreciate the little things in life. Through this project, I was not just a volunteer; I was part of something bigger,a movement to bring smiles to those who need it most. Let us not just talk about change ,let’s make it happen. The smiles we create today will shape the leaders of tomorrow. Happy International Youth Day! From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development. This year’s theme resonates with our collective efforts to empower the younger generation, ensuring that they are equipped with the digital skills necessary to drive sustainable development. Let’s continue to support initiatives that provide our youth with the tools they need to build a brighter future How will you make a difference? #CommunityEngagement #Volunteering #SaveAChild #HelpAChild #NoGivingIsSmall #ChangeTheWorld #ChildrenAreLeaders #GivingIsTheKey #SataraInitiative #InternationalYouthDay

As a #PeerEducationTrainers (PET) during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, I thought I was just engaging in social activities. But little did I know that it would lead me to discover my passion. The project exposed me to the reality of social issues that need to be addressed. I realized that people need to be sensitized about various topics, including Female Genital Mutilation and Menstrual Hygiene Day. These two projects struck a chord in me, and I decided to volunteer and make a difference. I was shocked to learn that many people were unaware of the dangers of Female Genital Mutilation and the challenges that young girls face in accessing menstrual hygiene products. Some even use cloth due to lack of resources. This exposure opened my eyes to the need for community service and advocacy. Volunteering not only helped me discover my passion but also built my confidence. I learned to write minutes for meetings, organize events, and work with teams. I realized that volunteering is a powerful way to build skills and make a positive impact in the community. My experience as a volunteer has been transformative. I have discovered my passion for advocacy and community service, and I am now committed to using my voice to make a difference. And I 've learned that when you volunteer, you don't just change lives – you change your own. #Volunteering #CommunityService #Advocacy #NYSC #PeerEducation #SocialImpact #Volunteer #PersonalGrowth

If you're thinking of volunteering some of your time for a good cause in 2024, we've got a great idea for you! Have you ever thought of signing up to be a befriender? Befrienders, also known as Independent Visitors, are reliable adults who invest time into developing a long-term friendship with a young person in care. Children in care can often lose contact with adults in their lives, and a befriender can be a consistent and supportive friend who is there for them for the long term. Interested? Day Four is Cooperative Economics (Ujamaa)- Support for one another can take us so far in life and our pursuit of societally and socially enhancing progressive change. Mutual aid is a type of support. Fostering a sense of community belonging is a type of support. Raising awareness is a type of support. With support we can be the determinants of more than just ourselves, we can become determinants in our communities by maintaining Collective Work as part of our Responsibility. Your prompt for today (should you choose to accept it) is this: What action can you take to further develop the collectives economic influence? Boost a small business owner that’s Melanated, Queer, Disabled, Trans and any combination of oppressed identities. Share some vetted donation links. #KwanzaaButMakeItTherapeutic #IliUwezeKufanikiwa
