10-year-old Shanil used to walk a long way every day to collect water from the river. When Plan International helped the Malawian community build a new borehole, Shanil was able to spend more time studying, as she no longer had to walk so far for water. The organization also constructed new school buildings in the village. "Before, we used to learn outside. So when tough weather like rain came, we had to run home. But after Plan built the new school blocks, bad weather was no longer a problem. We carry on learning and don't run away. We are making a lasting impact in our communities! 💙 Plan MEESA (Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa) Plan International Uganda Plan International Kenya Plan International Egypt Plan International Mozambique #qualityeducation #girlsrights #childrights

Teaching at the right level (TaRL) has proven to work in many African countries when it comes to foundational learning. What is the TARL approach? It is a method of teaching that groups children by learning level rather than age or grade, allowing for targeted instruction. TaRL has been implemented in The Gambia, Botswana, Cote d’Ivoire, Madagascar, Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda, and Ghana. Iam investing in a 20 years vision that Started about 2 Years in educating more than 1 million boys and girls with Sciences,Technology, Humanity and Patriotism in my home country with "Fundacao Wufolo" and this number will be replicated and multiplied to all countries of Africa. You, what is your opinion in rethinking Africa, what are the changing factors and tools besides the power of education that will transform HomeAfrica in the next 20 years ? Today we are celebrating #WorldWaterDay 💦 In Uganda, over 19 million people lack clean water close to home, while 49% of Zambia's rural population relies on unsafe water sources. These challenges disproportionately impact the rural and vulnerable communities that PEAS works in. PEAS schools are constructed with boreholes to ensure students and teachers have easy access to safe and clean water. PEAS schools share access to their boreholes with the local community. This not only expands access to safe water but also fosters positive relationships between the school and its community. Positive community relationships are vital for PEAS schools. Parents and communities play a crucial role in encouraging children to attend and actively engage in school and support their learning. #CommunityEngagement #Uganda #Zambia #CommunityRelationships United Nations

Empowering Young Minds, Transforming Communities: Join CESi's Mission to Educate, Elevate, and Eradicate Poverty. Imagine a Nigeria where every child has access to quality education, regardless of their background or location. At CESi, we're making this vision a reality, starting with Niger and Kaduna state. Our mission is bold: ensure zero children are out of school, beginning with the Almajiri community. Why Almajiri Children? These young minds are often forced into street begging, lacking access to basic education and skills. We're changing this narrative by: 1. Introducing formal education and vocational skills at their centers. 2. Collaborating with stakeholders to reduce street begging by 50%. 3. Empowering them to break the cycle of poverty. Join the Movement; Volunteer to Share; 1. Your expertise: teaching, mentoring, or skill-building. 2. Assist in outreach and community engagement. 3. Help monitor progress and evaluate impact. If Africa enrolled 1% more girls in school, its GDP would rise by 5%. · She can feed her family and her country. Investing in girls' education could boost agricultural output in Sub-Saharan Africa by 25%. · She can increase her income. For every year a girl stays in school, her income can increase by 15 to 25%. · She will invest in future generations. Educated women invest 90% of their income into their family. · She will send her children to school, continuing the cycle of education.
