Success Story: Access Self Storage in Bristol Planning permission was originally granted in 2008 for a self-storage facility and residential units, but the project was not completed due to the financial crisis. Subsequently, a new plan was approved, focusing solely on a large self-storage facility, while retaining as much historic fabric as possible. The planning process involved multiple stages, including pre-application submissions, amendments to the original decision, and addressing demolition and design challenges, culminating in approval at Planning Committee despite local opposition. Didn't want to miss showcasing this approval as it is another huge win for Woodbridge and the whole region. On January 17th the Woodbridge Planning Board approved 235 Residential Units, a new medical office/office building and new restaurant space at the Metropark Station. Stonefield Engineering & Design provided Traffic Engineering and Professional Planning expertise for Russo Development on this transformational project. In addition to the new mixed-use development right on this NJ Transit/Amtrak hub, there will be traffic improvements including new and updated traffic signals, changes that will provide for a more efficient bus circulation and parking layout, and station improvements to one of the most undervalued transit hubs. This project represents one of those ideal private-public partnerships between a developer, Township, and State Agency. Haven't seen an article about the approval - but this is an article previewing the application. https://lnkd.in/d6hHMqgd

Investing in listed buildings can be a rewarding experience due to their historical and architectural significance; however, it's important to do your research and be aware of the challenges. One of the biggest obstacles facing landowners is obtaining listed building consent (LBC) for any kind of development, which can be a lengthy and complicated process. Recently, the Planning and Design team at Stags acquired LBC for the addition of an external boiler on a listed building in East Devon. You can read more about it in this article by Joe Yardley, where he also discusses the restrictions on the development of listed buildings, the legal implications of unauthorized works, and the process of obtaining LBC. https://lnkd.in/egXP-SNR #listedbuildings #historicalarchitecture #architecturalheritage #renovatingalistedbuilding #listedbuildingconsent #propertyinvestment #propertydevelopment #realestateinvesting #stags #southwest #devon

🏠📍 Residential Development, Carlisle Pictured, this new residential development was originally a historical industrial site. The site was demolished to turn into residential housing with Citadel Homes. Our Geo-Environmental engineers conducted the initial Phase 1 Desk Top Study, followed by Phase 2 #SiteInvestigation. A #Remediation Strategy was then designed to prep the land ahead of construction. #ThenAndNow #ResidentialDevelopment #NewHomes #Carlisle #Construction #LandRemediation #Geoenvironmental #GeoenvironmentalEngineering #DeskTopStudy #ConstructionConsultancy

9moI enjoyed being part of this project (although my part was very small) as part of the CDM team, I remember it as a child being a Mercedes Benz showroom back in the day 😆
