I'm excited to announce the publication of my research paper titled "Fabrication and analysis of automatic side stand slider mechanism" in the prestigious AIP Publishing Journal. This paper delves into the design, fabrication, and analysis of an innovative automatic side-stand slider mechanism for two-wheeled vehicles. This mechanism has the potential to significantly improve stability and safety for riders, especially during low-speed maneuvers and stationary situations. Here are some key highlights of the research: Novel design: The proposed mechanism incorporates a unique design that automatically deploys the side stand slider when needed, eliminating the need for manual intervention. Enhanced stability: The research demonstrates how the mechanism effectively enhances vehicle stability by preventing unintended tipping during various riding scenarios. Improved safety: The automatic deployment feature significantly reduces the risk of rider injuries associated with motorcycle tip-overs. I'm confident that this research holds significant implications for the advancement of motorcycle safety and stability technologies.

We asked our staff: "What do you think the future of engineering holds?" Here are some responses from our Northwest Indiana team: Blaine- The future of engineering holds many things! It’s hard to put the possibilities into words. People all over with many different backgrounds will work together to improve the quality of our water and quality of life for the world. Jabez- The future of engineering is bright! I see some of the younger generation from my community (Gary, Indiana) and beyond pushing the boundaries on design standards and practices. I see a world with very little pollution. Cars running on fuels that burn cleanly, machines that remove micro-plastics from the air, water and soil, water systems that desalinate water with little wasted energy and no over production of hypersaline water, and cars that are built fully from 3D printed parts. All of these are just a minor part of what I see in engineering’s future. Pavlo- Adapting to evolving technology in both design software and physical infrastructure such as the smart detention ponds I learned about at the LTAP conference last year.

Move over, cat and mouse! In St. Petersburg, Florida, two robots named Tom & Jerry are building the future of beautiful and environmentally conscious furniture. They're the tech heart of Haddy, a 3D-printing furniture manufacturer that is re-imagining the future of manufacturing with #AI, sensors and robotics. Proud to be an early investor! I first met CEO John B. Rogers, Jr. while at Affectiva when he was running his previous company in the autonomous vehicles space. We got re-introduced by Prof. Karim Lakhani, Harvard Business School and I loved his vision for Haddy and commitment to the circular economy. Their concept is super cool: Envision it, Prototype it, Produce it, Recycle it. AI, sensors, robotics - all harnessed to create beautiful, sustainable pieces at an industrial scale. Every piece is traceable and crafted from renewable materials. Haddy is an example of a company that is using AI, sensors and robotics to build sustainable products - one of the investment themes we are doubling down on at Blue Tulip Ventures.
