There is no denying that agriculture exerts significant pressure on the environment, with agri-food systems being responsible for about 19%-29% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Regenerative agriculture allows farmers to be a part of the solution. In Denmark specifically, this sustainable approach to farming – focused on soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystem resilience – provides a unique opportunity to preserve food security and the competitiveness of the farming industry while simultaneously benefitting the environment. A new report, jointly written by BCGers Peter Jonathan Jameson, Jeppe Mikkelsen, Søren Skovgård Møller, Danmarks Naturfredningsforening, and Food Nation, highlights the potential path towards widespread adoption of regenerative agriculture in Denmark: https://lnkd.in/eexYT8CU

exploring the groundbreaking work of Howard M. Resh and the transformative potential of hydroponic food production! Hydroponics represents a cutting-edge approach to agriculture, revolutionizing how we grow food by utilizing nutrient-rich water solutions instead of traditional soil. Howard M. Resh's pioneering methodologies highlight the numerous benefits of hydroponic systems, including higher yields, faster growth rates, and reduced water consumption. By precisely controlling nutrient delivery directly to the roots, hydroponic farming ensures optimal plant growth and development, leading to superior-quality produce. Moreover, this innovative technique offers flexibility in location, making it possible to cultivate crops in urban environments or areas with limited arable land. As we face increasing challenges in our global food system, from resource scarcity to environmental degradation, hydroponic food production emerges as a sustainable solution with the potential to enhance efficiency and accessibility. Join the movement towards a more sustainable and resilient future in agriculture with hydroponics. Let's embrace innovation, harnessing the power of technology to nourish communities and cultivate a healthier planet together. #hydroponics #agriculture #sustainabilitycourses #innovation #futureoffood #hydroponicsystem #agriculturetech #sustainability #innovationineducation #futureoffood #urbanfarming #foodsecurity #agtech #environmentalsustainability #communityhealth #hydroponicfarming

Farming is a great contributor to Greenhouse Gas emissions. Lely is making technology to serve regeneration - because instead of offsetting this applies a system-change approach and it just moves the needle towards the right direction. An example to follow ✌️💚 #regeneration #regenerativeagriculture #esg
