As you can see below, serpentining large supply pipes overhead is a common practice as a method of positioning the water supply as close to the fixtures as possible to avoid lengthy run-outs/dead legs. This method can be costly adding hundreds of feet of pipe length, surface area and volume to the installation. One of our leakage teams identified the vicinity of a 1.5l/s leak on a DN100 pipe.   Conventional leakage detection methods were unable to pinpoint the exact location.   As a result, we deployed our in-pipe camera team.
