#LibertyStarUraniumandMetals Corp. (dba Liberty Star Minerals | LBSR: OTCQB) is making good progress with its first-ever drilling program at its flagship Hay Mountain property in southeast Arizona, the company shared in an update. The property, situated within a region known for significant porphyry copper-gold-moly geological structures, is being explored for commercially important metals. According to an interim field report, drilling at the second hole will continue from 1,500 feet to 2,000 feet. This decision is informed by observations and Portable X-ray Fluorescence (PXRF) readings indicating hydrothermal alteration and sulfides associated with veins in the core. These findings raise the possibility of a carbonate replacement deposit at depth, Liberty Star said in a statement. The company acknowledged that pending assay analysis is crucial to confirming or refuting this initial observation. More at #Proactive #ProactiveInvestors #OTC #LBSR http://ow.ly/2fwQ1059psl

Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (OTC:LBSR), dba Liberty Star Minerals, said its drilling program at the Hay Mountain property has uncovered significant indicators of commercially valuable #metals, suggesting the potential for substantial #mineralization in the area. Drilling at the southeast Arizona property has indicated the potential presence of commercially important metals associated with porphyry copper-gold-moly geologic structures, according to the Tuscon-based company. At a depth exceeding 2000 feet, the company encountered a marble front along with an intense zone of propylitic alteration, both suggesting the existence of a substantial, hydrous intrusive body at depth. According to consulting geologist Jim Bryce, this alteration represents some of the most profound seen in over three decades of experience in the field, the company noted in a statement. Cooper Metals Uncovers Potential Gold-Copper Feeder System at Brumby Ridge (ASX: CPM) Managing Director, Ian Warland, commented: “The new drill assay results at Brumby Ridge are in line with visual results reported last month. Our new geological interpretation backed up by recent drilling and consultation, provides encouragement for investigating the potential for further crosscutting mineralised fault breccia zones that may have acted as feeder veins to the main NNW trending mineralised Cu-Au veins. Mineralisation remains open at depth and less than half of the identified strike length of the vein system has been drill tested.” “With the copper price near all-time highs and a healthy cash position, Cooper is excited to continue regional exploration focussing on the major NW trending regional Brumby Fault and its potential to host larger crosscutting mineralised fault breccia zones. We currently have teams in the field conducting important, targeted geochemical sampling and mapping over the area to delineate further drill targets.” Read our article below: https://lnkd.in/gcXrAwKK #copper #mining #exploration #asx

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN, OTCQB:ANSNF) has completed the surface drilling and casing of the Bosydaba #1 well, which is on recently purchased private property at its Green River #Lithium Project in the Paradox Basin in south-eastern Utah, USA. Importantly, the intersection of shallow slightly saline aquifers supports the fact that there is no connectivity between aquifers and the sealed Pennsylvanian brines 7,000 feet deeper. This drilling represents the first phase in Anson’s mineral resource definition plan at Green River, where the company is targeting lithium-rich brines in the highly porous clastic horizons and the Mississippian units in the region. Upon completion of the well, it is expected that brine will be able to flow directly to the sample demonstration plant, which consists of both the direct lithium extraction and the downstream purification process.
