Toubani Resources Ltd (ASX:TRE) CEO Phil Russo sits down with Proactive's Jonathan Jackson to talk through the high-grade oxide #gold intersections from infill drilling at the 2.4-million-ounce Kobada Gold Project in Mali. The company highlighted a significant find with a screen fire assay of 2 metres at 178 g/t gold within a broader 19-metre intersection averaging 20 g/t from a depth of 105 metres. These results are instrumental for Toubani in converting the Kobada deposit to higher JORC-compliant confidence levels, potentially delineating higher grade zones within the deposit. Russo noted the program’s role in derisking and enhancing the value of the Kobada deposit and expressed satisfaction with the results, which align with the company’s goals of confirming significant widths and grades. Koryx Copper (TSX-V:KRY, OTCQB:KRYXF) President and CEO Pierre Léveillé joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with an overview of the company's projects and the dynamics affecting the #copper market. Additionally, Koryx holds options on three licenses in Zambia's copper belt, though these are at a more exploratory, greenfield stage compared to Namibia. Léveillé explained the recent amendment to the Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Haib project, clarifying that technical and economic aspects remain unchanged. Operational Update: Partial Sale of Net Smelter Return Royalty Aterian plc (LSE: ATN), the critical metal-focused exploration and development company, announces the sale of its portion of the Net Smelter Return Royalty ("NSR") over the HCK Project in the Republic of Rwanda ("Rwanda") for a £200,000 gross consideration. The Company has signed an agreement to sell a interest of 1.40 % of the Rio Tinto Joint Venture NSR to Elemental Altus Royalties Corporation ("Elemental Altus"). This royalty reduces to 1.25% upon the Musasa licence being issued in Rwanda. The Company engaged strategic advisors, Collingwood Capital Partners AG, to approach several royalty companies to gain expressions of interest in purchasing the NSR and to provide third-party oversight in the sale of the NSR to Elemental Altus, who provided the best option for the Company. Charles G. Bray, Chairman of Aterian, commented: "The sale of the Rwandan royalty interest to Elemental Altus aligns with our overarching strategy of prioritising financial discipline, strengthening the balance sheet and maximising shareholder value. We want this to be the first of many new asset value realisation efforts across our portfolio. Gabriel Resources (TSXV:GBU), a Canadian company focused on the Rosia Montana gold and silver project in Romania, has announced that the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) Tribunal expects to issue its final decision on March 8, 2024, regarding Gabriel's arbitration claim against Romania. This project is among Europe's largest undeveloped gold deposits, with Gabriel holding an 80.69% interest and the remainder owned by a Romanian state-owned company. Despite efforts to develop Rosia Montana responsibly, Gabriel claims Romania has unlawfully blocked the project, leading to the current arbitration focus. Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR), which specialises in gold exploration in #WestAfrica, provided updates on its Bibemi and Mbe #gold projects in Cameroon. The company is nearing earn-in agreements with BCM International Limited, slated for January 2024. BCM will acquire up to a 50% interest in both projects by paying signature payments ($450,000 for Bibemi, $1 million for Mbe) and funding $4 million in exploration per project. Already, significant investment has been made in #Bibemi, with further progress expected at Mbe. Concurrently, negotiations and renewals for other projects, including Senala in #Senegal and Wapouzé, are underway, contributing to the optimistic market response. URGENT CONSULTATION NEEDED ON NATIONAL GOLD CORPORATION BILL there is a deep concerned about the potential impacts of the proposed National Gold Corporation Bill on Papua New Guinea's sovereignty and economy. The lack of meaningful consultation, despite promises from the Prime Minister, is alarming. Key concerns raised by PNG CORE are troubling, especially the foreign majority ownership of essential entities, overriding of existing project agreements, and the absence of a requirement for gold refining in PNG. These issues could harm grassroots miners and shake investor confidence. there is a need to prioritize our gold sector, state agencies, and economy.
