𝟰+𝟭: 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲  🚑🚑🚑🚑 + 🚒   The Dagblad van het Noorden, Friesch Dagblad and Leeuwarder Courant together with Hope4Ukraine from Leeuwarden purchased four ambulances and a fire truck for Ukraine. By working together with other organizations like Breeland Recreatie, it is possible to do more with the proceeds from this charity campaign. The ambulances will go to Ukraine this weekend, the fire truck will follow at the end of May.   The emergency vehicles are deployed in the front areas in the south and east of the Ukraine. Earlier this year, ambulances were already brought to Kharkiv, Kramatorsk and Kherson.   This is what the newspaper is writing about Special Truck Parts and its CEO René Pol:   "Ambulance doctor Rene Pol is doing it again. The man from Annen refurbishes ambulances so they can get a second life. Pol sells the vehicles to relief organizations that take them to war zones. In the parking lot at Breeland, in addition to ambulances, there is also a fire truck ready to go to Ukraine."   This time, a fire truck is also included. Special, Pol explains. "We did deliver more than 100 ambulances to Ukraine last year. We have delivered a few fire trucks, but this is actually the first rescue vehicle, for relief, with the right tools." […]   Pol buys the ambulances from Dutch or foreign ambulance services. He cleans the cars, checks that everything is technically in order and puts the necessary equipment inside. Although he doesn't do it completely voluntarily, he puts in a lot of extra work. "Sometimes you help collect materials together. For example, we have contact with the UMCG and the ambulance service. We put that in boxes and put it in the cars. I won't forget the time an OEM in the US drone space (who hired RTTG, a SDVOSB, to help with flights and training of their large quadcopter). told me that one of my employees (who is a disabled veteran with a service animal) could no longer come to their facility to work and fly THEIR aircraft because "frankly some people are just scared of dogs". An OEM that was trying to sell aircraft to the MILITARY and screams that they support veterans, would not allow a veteran with a service animal (100% certified) to conduct work on a contract THEY signed. So what did I do? I promoted that team member to Project manager and PoC for all things dealing with that OEM. #petty We no longer work with that OEM, but instead have shifted focus to real companies like Skydio, Corvid Technologies, Mistral Group , and Periscope Aviation (and a few others waiting for signatures on engagement letters). Companies that realize the true value of veterans, especially combat veterans, and not just using them as points for a contract or for some mundane hiring mandate. As a #veteran I know many fellow veterans that struggle with mental health. As a #drone enthusiasts and avid pilot, I don't think think it's discussed enough how drones can be used in a therapeutic manner. Drones can be utilized by veterans to provide them with an escape, a way to relax, and a means to see life from a unique perspective. This can be a life saving tool, trust me, I know. This weighs heavy on me and if there's any veterans that want to link up and fly when I roll through your town, please reach out. For this use case, NDAA nor blue/green list are necessary as it's simply a veteran and/or group of veterans just getting together, sharing stories, learning, growing, and flying. We just want to meet up, fly, and have a good time. Not secure a government contract. Thus, we need the platforms that'll be easy, fun to fly, and reliable. JSW Defence to Establish ₹800 Crore UAV Manufacturing Facility in Telangana JSW Defence has announced plans to invest ₹800 crore in establishing a #manufacturing facility for Unmanned Aerial Systems (#UAS) in #Telangana. The project will be executed through its subsidiary, JSW UAV, in partnership with US-based Shield AI, Inc. Economic Explosives Establishes New Drone Manufacturing Facility in Nagpur A #drone and unmanned aerial vehicle (#UAV) #manufacturing #facility was inaugurated at Economic Explosives Ltd (EEL), a subsidiary of Solar Industries, in Nagpur. The facility focuses on producing advanced systems, including loitering #munitions, counter-drone technologies, and UAVs for #military and #civil applications. The company has delivered 480 units of its loiter munition system, Nagastra-1, to the Indian Army under an emergency procurement contract. Nagastra-1 is equipped with GPS-enabled precision strike capabilities, a recovery mechanism for reuse, and can operate in both offensive and defensive roles.
