Texas LPC Supervisor; I offer online, efficient Continuing Education (CE) courses for Texas LPC Supervisors
Though I’m not licensed in these states, I took a quick look at the job posting. $70K for a full-time therapist position. It explicitly states full licensure required and must be available 40 hours per week. If you’re interested in this job, I would highly recommend asking about how much time you’ll be providing direct therapy services throughout your 40 hours of availability. Since it’s salary, you probably want to know what that expectation looks like. Also, determine if it’s weekend/evening requirements, a typical 8-5 job, or there’s flexibility in creating your schedule. For fun, I looked at the corporate openings: Operations Associate II, Clinical Expansion 2 years experience and no clinical requirements Salary range: 68K - 104K Both of these jobs are fully remote and offer all the additional compensation packages of healthcare, timeoff, private stock equity, etc. Why are therapists, the ones doing the actual work with a bachelors degree, master’s degree, and at least two-three years of experience to gain full licensure (approx 9 years worth of time, money, effort, education, experience) being compensated at lower rates? Because we’re willing to accept it.

As you are recruiting staff for your lab or hospital, are you thinking about employee experience and the retention goals of your org? If you don't already have a plan in place to address employee experience, you might want to reassess your approach. It's much easier to keep good employees than hire new ones, and ensuring positive morale in the workplace is a huge part of that. Learn more below!
How might the issue of bullying be contributing to ongoing staffing and retention issues facing medical laboratories? 😓 According to a survey we conducted last fall, it may be a more significant factor than previously realized, as 75% of respondents said they have faced or witnessed bullying in a lab setting. In a new article for Medical Laboratory Observer, we unpack data about the prevalence of bullying within labs and its perceived impact on morale. A number of industry experts also weigh in on how addressing the issue will lead to better retention and overall hiring conditions for labs as they work to attract talent. 🤝 Check it out for free in the comments below! ⬇ #bullying #morale #medicallaboratory #labtech #healthcare

H.I.M. Career Strategist | Retired Healthcare Revenue Integrity Auditor | Teaching H.I.M. Professionals How to Strategically Find Jobs & Increase Their Income!
Feeling stuck in your career due to a lack of experience, degrees, or certifications? You're not alone. Many focus on these gaps rather than the strategy to overcome them. A lack of experience is temporary; we all start somewhere and progress over time. The quicker you get your foot in the door...the quicker you can overcome this tiny road bump. But here's the good news: lack of experience doesn’t have to mean less pay. It's a lack of strategy that can hold you back more than anything. Check out this newly posted remote trauma registrar job on THBFS Career Connect! If you have experience in the Emergency Department, this is an excellent opportunity for you! Requirements include High school diploma, no degree required... completing the American Trauma Society Registrar Course, AAAM’s Abbreviated Injury Scale Course, and ICD-10 course within 1 year of hire. Don't let a lack of experience stop you—equip yourself with the right career strategy, targeted resume and job search strategy. Remember, applying for an amazing opportunity with an untargeted resume will not increase your chances of being selected for an interview! The link for this job posting is on the THBFS Career Connect job board! If you don't have access to the free board, click the link in my comments section ⬇️ to gain access. 👉🏽 Follow @ValeriePage_RHIT to take your career in the healthcare industry to the next level! 🏹 Send this to a friend or colleague! . . . #HealthInformationManagement #MedicalCoder #MedicalBiller #HealthCareAdministration #medicalcoding #MedicalBilling #healthcarejobs #HealthInformationTechnology #healthcareworkers https://lnkd.in/gQfpHfcN

As a health services researcher, it's lovely to see your first publication in AcademyHealth's Health Services Research Journal. This herculean effort was led by Natalie E. Leland and the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences team and funded by National Institute on Aging (NIA). This qualitative study (92 administrator interviews!!) provides nuanced insights on staffing shortages in #SkilledNursing facilities during the #COVID19 pandemic. Themes include the breadth of shortages across job roles, what drove the shortages, and how facilities managed and grappled with the challenges. Open access! ⬇ https://lnkd.in/gjYjrVEs
