We are thrilled to announce the release of a new resource from the Partnership to help transition teams prepare the next administration for managing significant federal investment programs. As the next administration steps in, it will inherit the responsibility of overseeing ongoing initiatives like the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Inflation Reduction Act, and CHIPS and Science Act while setting its own priorities. Drawing on the work of our Center for Presidential Transition® and ongoing programming providing insights and promising practices for implementation of major investment initiatives, the Partnership developed this resource on how transition teams can apply best practices to ensure the next administration is equipped to take over the management of these significant federal investment programs. https://lnkd.in/eec6XV2g This article in the FT highlights the potential for infrastructure investments to be a key driver of sustainable growth. It argues that anticipated changes to the UK’s fiscal rules by the Chancellor in this month’s budget could unlock much-needed infrastructure investment. By considering the long-term returns on illiquid assets such as infrastructure, rather than focusing solely on short-term debt, the Chancellor could unlock up to £60bn for infrastructure projects, potentially benefiting projects including HS2.

A new bipartisan Senate bill, S. 4917, has been introduced to expand investment options for 403(b) plans, allowing them to include collective investment funds (CITs). This follows the House of Representatives' approval of a similar bill in March. Key Points of the Bill: 1) Bipartisan Support: Led by Senators Katie Britt, Raphael Warnock, Bill Cassidy, and Gary Peters. 2) Improved Investment Options: Aligns 403(b) plans with 401(k) plans, offering more efficient and cost-effective investment options. 3) Regulation and Efficiency: Enables 403(b) plans to use CITs, which are regulated under ERISA and offer a more efficient investment structure compared to mutual funds. Your support is crucial in helping this bill pass. Please reach out to your senators to express your support for expanding 403(b) investment options.
