#ASXNews FURTHER HIGH-GRADE LITHIUM DRILL INTERCEPTS LEPIDOLITE HILL PROJECT Eastern Resources Limited is pleased to announce further assay results from its maiden reverse circulation drilling program completed on the Lepidolite Hill Project in March 2024. The assay results from the first 15 drillholes has delivered exceptional results (ref ASX: EFE 21 March 2024). Assay results from the remaining 22 drill holes have now been received, and continues to demonstrate significant high-grade lithium mineralisation hosted by shallow lithium-bearing pegmatites along over 1 km of strike and extending to a minimum of 154m below surface. Drilling has intersected lithium mineralisation up to 31m in thickness at 0.86% Li2O (EFLHRC0023 67-98M). Individual 1 metre assays up to 3.87% Li2O (EFLHRC0002 51-56m) were returned. The latest set of assay results confirm the presence of lithium mineralisation throughout the Project with the majority of drill holes completed to date intersecting multiple lithium-bearing pegmatites at various depths. Most of the lithium appears to be related to petalite and/or spodumene mineralisation. These results are highlighted by returning multiple results in excess of 2% Li2O (refer to Table 1), with some intersections exceeding 3% Li2O. Some of the huge challenges we avoid with our architecture.
As deep-sea mining nears commerical production, one of the remaining major issues is shipping nodules. Most mine-sites are extremely remote, and a specialist breed of bulk carrier ("STARS") is required. STARS will need to carry out relatively unusual operations in order to transfer nodules from a PSV in deepwater that is moving and harvesting. Various options exist, including line-astern and alongside transfers; either via slurry hose or conveyor - but in all cases these are unique operations with few precedents and limited regulations. We spoke to a number of industry participants and put together an overview of the options and the outstanding issues - https://lnkd.in/gfEvAAVs Jon Machin || Andrew Lipman || Rutger Bosland || Jeffrey Donald || Rahul Sharma #deepseamining #energytransition #criticalminerals #offshoreoperations

Excellent overview of a relatively overlooked piece of the DSM puzzle. To add to the conversation, operators must also consider the broader legal implications of supply chain management. Transference, delivery, port tariffs, and much more will come into play following the initial harvesting activity; guidance and clarity from global regulatory bodies will be needed in order for investment interests to be actualized

#ASXNews Significant Drilling Programs & Drill for Equity Agreement Meeka Metals Limited is pleased to advise that drilling to expand the mine plan and accelerate production at the Murchison will begin in October 2024. The program includes ~7,500m of growth drilling and ~15,000m of open pit grade control drilling to be completed by Topdrill under a drill for equity agreement. • A significant RC drilling program (~7,500m) is planned to expand the production plan by extending Mineral Resources contained in high-grade plunging shoots below the oxide open pits at Turnberry. • Underground Mineral Resource expansion in this area is likely to materially impact production and cash flow at the Company’s 100% owned Murchison #Gold Project (Murchison). • Final RC grade control #drilling (~15,000m) for the shallow oxide open pits will also be completed to accelerate production, improve productivity and confirm the mine plan in light of the expanded processing capacity now available. • The Company has entered into a drill for equity agreement with leading WA drilling contractor, Topdrill. Topdrill will mobilise following commissioning of the new accommodation village in October 2024. • Final credit approved documentation is well advanced for the larger secured, Murchison project development facility. Details will be released when final documentation is executed by both parties. Completion is expected in August 2024. Commenting on this growth drilling, #MEK’s Managing Director Tim Davidson said: “Having expanded processing capacity, increasing throughput by 30%, we are now moving forward rapidly to fill that capacity with high margin underground production from new mining areas not considered in the DFS due to previous processing capacity constraints.” View the full announcement: https://bit.ly/3YMkOQG #MeekaMetals #MiningNews #ASX
