Feeling full as I come to the end of a powerful week here in Ixtapa, Mexico, for the Opportunity Collaboration gathering. This experience has been transformative—one that leaves me enriched by the depth of human connection, the stories shared, and the palpable sense of purpose that filled the air. I have had the privilege of engaging with extraordinary change-makers from across the world, individuals who are tirelessly working to reshape systems and uplift communities. From inspiring conversations to forming what I know will be lifelong friendships, every moment felt like a step closer to the vision of a more just and equitable world. I had the honor of facilitating a session on Making Change as Leaders in Gender-Focused Initiatives. The insights and deep reflections shared by the participants were both humbling and inspiring. The conversations reminded me of the power of collective wisdom, and how, together, we can co-create solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. Grateful for the space that Opportunity Collaboration gathering provided—a space that allowed for vulnerability, learning, and collaboration at the highest level. Psychological safety is a critical topic often discussed but not always acted upon. Over the past few months, FueLD Learning had the privilege of supporting Xeneta's operations team in making this a cultural priority. We began with an insightful in-person session to gauge the team's current state and aspirations. By fostering a shared understanding of Psychological Safety, individual accountability, and initial steps to foster it, we laid a strong foundation. The fact it was in Norway was an added bonus and the views were beautiful. Collaborating with Operational Leaders, we identified their pivotal role in nurturing a psychologically safe environment. Through skill-building and daily dedication, they are driving this crucial cultural shift. Our journey continued with three reflective virtual sessions, delving into challenges, Change Management insights, and the evolving stages of cultural development. These initiatives go beyond discussions, they signify a sustained commitment to change and support that extends far beyond initial interactions. National Technology Day serves as a reminder of our country’s unwavering commitment to technological progress. It is our responsibility to maintain and optimize for our continued advancement. We are pleased to announce that Orthex has been ranked in 6th place in the Nordic Business Diversity Index among the small-cap companies in the Helsinki Nasdaq category. Nordic Business Diversity Index examines the diversity of senior leadership in Nordic listed companies. The launch event took place last week in Helsinki, with Orthex CEO Alexander Rosenlew in attendance to gain valuable insights from industry experts on the topic. "I am happy and proud of our Top 10 position. We put great importance and efforts in being a stimulating, fun and fair place to work for all our employees. Diversity drives creativity and well-being at work, people are at their best when they feel safe and at ease. It is not only the right thing to do, there is of course also a correlation between business performance and diversity", Alexander comments. With Alexander in the picture are Aaro Angerpuro and Suvi Halttula from Impaktly. The diversity of board and executive team composition was assessed based on four publicly available variables: gender, age, nationality and education. The Nordic Business Diversity Index aims to raise discussion and paint a picture of what senior leadership looks like in the Nordics. Monika Röhr-Łukasik shares insights on her journey with the company: “This year, Foundever celebrates its 20th anniversary of operating in Poland, which naturally leads to reflection on the company's performance. It's not insignificant to me that I am part of the company's history, having worked here for 16 years now. Starting my career as an Applied Linguistics student, I assumed I would supplement my household budget and probably, after a few months, embark on a career path in line with my education – I planned to work in diplomacy and strongly advocate for the positive image of Poland on the international stage while nurturing international relations. However, it turned out that Foundever was "my place," where I acquired a multitude of skills that not only shaped me as a manager but also had a tremendous impact on the development of my life. Today, I have the honor of leading Foundever Poland as Managing Director for four years now. These have been years of immense transformation and company growth. European regions to become Regional Innovation Valleys (RIVs), to strengthen European innovation ecosystems connecting all EU territories, address Europe’s societal challenges and foster stronger cohesion. The Regional Innovation Valleys – which shall harness the potential of deep-tech innovation across the different EU territories and address the innovation divide – are a key initiative under Flagship 3 of the New European Innovation Agenda (NEIA). The aim is to identify 100 regions committed to better coordinating their research and innovation investments and policies and to collaborating on interregional innovation projects. The initiative builds on smart specialisation strategies across Europe and, where applicable, on participation in the PRI Pilot Action.
