After my presentation for #WorldHydrogenLeaders I received several messages asking me about the #DistributedGenerationMarket. I am happy to share a slide I have prepare with information provided by Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica - ABSOLAR The data shared by #ABSolar allowed to showcase the remarkable achievements of Brazil's distributed generation sector. Also , I would like to extend my thanks to David Sansom and Nadim Chaudhry for their support. One key highlight that we discussed during the webinar is the significant drop in solar energy prices, with bids reaching record lows. This is a proof of the immense potential and competitiveness of the Brazilian market in the field of distributed generation. Brazil has emerged as one of the leading markets globally, with over 1.8 million renewable distributed generation systems installed and a total capacity exceeding 19 GW as of March 2023. Let us continue to explore and unlock the opportunities in the distributed generation sector. I look forward to future collaborations and the collective journey towards a sustainable and renewable energy future. #DistributedGeneration #RenewableEnergy #Brazil #MarketTrends #ProjectFinance #PowerMarket #EnergyTransition

*disclaimer, this is my simple opinion and observation as a continuing education instructor for real estate agents in NV, AZ, and UT. Recently attended an insightful panel discussion at the D2D conference featuring CEOs from leading solar companies- TriSMART Solar, 1Solar , Sunsolar Solutions, Inc. & NIVO Solar, engaging in itopics such as orphaned systems, regulatory challenges, and industry trends, leaving me more optimistic about the future of solar. However, concerns remain about the lack of collaboration for self-regulation, potentially leading to external intervention. It's crucial for industry leaders to advocate for qualitative changes to ensure long-term sustainability. Without proactive measures, smaller solar businesses may need to diversify in the near future. #SolarEnergy #Renewables #IndustryInsights

🌞 What an enriching experience in Solarplaza! Attending the event focused on the future of solar energy has been a true privilege. Here, I share some of the most fascinating topics discussed throughout the day: 1️⃣ Hybrid technologies are revolutionizing our sector. The integration of wind and solar systems marks the beginning of a new era in renewable energy. Are we ready for this transition? 2️⃣ The Curtailments crisis: once again, the growing concern about the impact of grid restrictions on solar investments was emphasized. Innovative strategies were discussed to protect these investments and ensure their profitability. 3️⃣ New market dynamics: There was a debate on how to mitigate market saturation, the decline in capture prices, and curtailments during these uncertain times of the economic storm in solar energy. 4️⃣ Regulatory framework effects: The importance of anticipating regulatory changes was a key topic, providing tools to ensure that our projects not only comply with regulations but are also competitive and innovative. 🌍💡 These topics have given us deeper insights and practical strategies to continue developing solutions to allow our companies leading in the solar energy sector. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and share with great experts in the field. Let’s keep moving forward together towards a more sustainable future! 🌱🔋 #SolarSummitIberia #SolarEnergy #Renewables #Iberia24 #InnovativeThinking #GreenFuture #GreenEnergy #CleanEnergy #SolarplazaSummit

Just returned from Large Scale Solar EU in Lisbon. The key takeaways: ➡️ Hybridisation is becoming increasingly important, i.e. the combination of solar and wind energy or the linking with storage and PtX in order to counteract cannibalisation effects and grid bottlenecks. ➡️ Progress in the solar industry is evident and reflected in high deployment rates, but the grid poses a fundamental challenge in many markets and causes concern for the future ➡️ The need for storage regulations was emphasised in order to increase bankability, among other things. #SolarEnergy #Renewables #LSSEU2024

Australia’s solar manufacturing roadmap dissected APVI - Australian PV Institute has published a report funded by the Australia Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) which outlines a pathway for Australian domestic solar manufacturing. APVI wrote this working with Deloitte, the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP), AGL, AspiraDAC, Energus, Siemens, SunDrive, TindoSolar, and 5B. APVI leads in with quite the valid point that Australia has a very strong global position on photovoltaic research, which it has retained even as almost all of its manufacturing atrophied over the past two decades. Another crucial point in favor of the proposal is that Australia is, of course, a major solar market. Even though one-third of residences have rooftop solar, there is still enormous room, literally and figuratively, for utility-scale renewables to replace a few dozen GW of coal and gas capacity, and beyond that lies a green hydrogen future which really could run to hundreds of GW of photovoltaics in coastal desert complexes. #solar #solarmanufacturing #renewables

Mythbuster Monday #Myth: Solar power is too expensive for widespread adoption. #Fact: The cost of solar power has decreased significantly in recent years, making it a more affordable and viable option for many homeowners and businesses. In many cases, the long-term savings on electricity bills offset the initial installation cost, with payback periods of 5-10 years in many locations. So while solar may have been prohibitively expensive in the past, the search results demonstrate that the current state of solar technology and economics has made it a much more cost-effective and accessible renewable energy solution for both residential and commercial applications. The myth of solar being too expensive is no longer accurate in today's highlights #SolarEnergy #CleanEnergy #Myths #Mythsbuster #SolarisGreentechHub #Highlights

#NewsIE | SolarPower Europe offers its recommendations to help with the creation of non-distortive CfD. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/duJbzvmF ⚡️ The latest revision of the #ElectricityMarket Design, adopted at the beginning of 2024, has identified #ContractsforDifference (CfDs) as the preferred method to publicly support #renewables, prompting discussions on how to make these contracts more responsive to the system's needs. In this context, several actors including ENTSO-E, Elia Group, Hertie School, have contributed to the European debate on the nature of CfDs. 📄 Now, SolarPower Europe presents its guidance to assist in the design of non-distortive Contracts-for Difference that offer the right support to the solar sector ➡️ https://lnkd.in/di98vMdb Bethany Meban, Kristina Thoring, Máté Heisz, Dries Acke, Walburga Hemetsberger
