Why would we at Fillmore Container want to keep glass in the re-purposing, up-cycling and re-cycling loop? It's not just because true sustainability requires the consideration of raw materials needed for glass production and how clean cullet can reduce the amount of sand required (and the carbon impact involved in that industry alone). It's also because we share this planet and want to do our part! We view glass as a resource that deserves more of the spotlight when it comes to recycling streams.
