We constantly look at our societal and environmental impact and work to maximise the positives and remove or reduce the negatives.   Our Clane and Naas Day Services are doing just that! Winning the Environmental Impact Award at our Social Care Conference, for their motivation to make green initiatives a daily activity and reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible.   🌍 They have moved from single use water bottles to larger 5L water bottles to reduce plastic waste while still providing free access to filtered water. 🌍 Their recycling bin is now larger than the regular waste bin, a clear demonstrating of their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint. 🌍 They regularly opt for public transport when organising group activities and plan trips to be as eco as possible. 🌍 They have a dedicated transport notice boards to ensure public transport information is available to everyone. 🌍 They only use eco-friendly cleaning products, never using bleach, buying refillable soap, concentrated floor cleaner and encourage everyone to handwash instead of using dishwasher. 🌍 They have weekly service user information sessions on mapping out where recycling centres in the local communities. 🌍 They have created a pollinator specific flower garden. AMS Fulfillment played our part in recycling over 1.5 million lbs of cardboard in 2023. How can consumers play a part, in addition to curbside recycling? Planting a garden into cardboard boxes is one of the best (and easiest no dig) methods found to garden yet... And next year just put new boxes on top of old boxes... it all eventually is compost.
