When I was in the Army, I didn't really engage frequently with General Officers - so I am always excited (and a bit blown away) when I get to share my LinkedIn experience at the Army GO-TAP course This one was no different with awesome engagement from: 🔹MG Andy Munera, CG of US Army Cadet Command 🔹BG Samuel L. Peterson (Luke), PEO CS & CSS 🔹LTG Douglas Stitt, the Army G1 🔹LTG Ross Coffman, Deputy CG of Army Futures Command 🔹and so many others... #quinnsights My key takeaways for them: 1 - get your profile good enough to reflect your professional identity 2 - connect with people in industry to figure out what you want to do next AND learn what people in that role do 3 - start posting the things you love about the Army: highlighting your team, successes, retirements, promotions, and sharing the articles Public Affairs is writing #militarytransition
I met a 3 Star at during an Honor Flight Houston event. As an enlisted guy, I never had a real conversation with a general. I said "Sir, I am SFC Moody (Retired version), I never shook the hand of a 3 star." He said, It not as good as it is made out to be. We spent 30 minutes talking about Astros Baseball
Michael, some awesome leaders in that class!! Appreciate your commitment to all of us!!
A group of American heroes!
Thanks Michael!! Great to connect and appreciate your invaluable feedback and advice!
Thanks for the great tutorial Michael!
That’s good stuff Michael, hopefully with that group of individuals it drives the importance of the platform, networking, and the amazing benefits it can provide if utilized and leveraged properly. This should REALLY be a key driver in TAP for transitioning service members to allow them a better chance of being successful post military. Keep doing what you are doing Michael, your dedication and contributions are always inspiring to me. 💪💪 Hope you have a great 2024 brother 👍👍
I hope all of these men get out and bring there leadership to 1st civ div
Very insightful, thanks for sharing! It just goes to show, whether you’re junior enlisted or general officer, transitioning is a challenge that is best tackled with solid preparation and a robust network. Best of luck to all the attendees in their next exciting chapter of their personal and professional lives!
