When Deloitte profiled Gen Z as the next wave of professionals and workplace influencers they found a generation of digital natives. Gen Z'ers are attracted to innovation, diversity of thought and creativity. Many of this generation's professionals have entered the corporate world via internships and apprenticeships. They are set to be one of the most socially mobile generations in recent decades. Gen Z can fall prey to loneliness and isolation. This may be rooted in so much of their lives being lived in virtual environments. Social activism, civics and equality are causes Gen Z'ers care about and this may carry over into their professional lives as they progress to leadership positions, replacing Millennials as the generation which holds the most social and political influence. Reflecting on the past five years, Utopian Healthcare has seen firsthand the transformative power of dreams. In this time, we have trained over 800 caregivers, screened 3,000 community members for health risks, provided 40,000 hours of internship experience, and equipped numerous individuals with life-saving CPR skills. Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend a thought-provoking sermon at our local church. The message centered on leadership and integrity, discussing the profound responsibility of leaders in our society. What resonated with me most were the preacher's insights into the three main types of leaders: 1. A leader whom the people want. 2. A leader whom the people deserve. 3. A leader after God's own heart. As I reflect on these principles, I'm reminded of my imminent completion of a year-long medical internship, the final step before obtaining full licensure as a medical doctor. The journey to this point hasn't been without its challenges. Many of my colleagues, despite their qualifications, have faced unnecessary delays and bureaucratic hurdles in their path to practicing medicine. This situation has caused immense uncertainty and mental anguish among aspiring healthcare professionals. Recently, the inadequate budgetary allocation for medical interns has exacerbated these issues, directly affecting countless young professionals who are ready and eager to contribute to our healthcare system. This shortfall in leadership and decision-making is a stark reminder of the consequences when meritocracy takes a backseat to political favoritism. Therefore, I've committed myself to civic education initiatives starting today. My goal is simple: to foster a more informed electorate by 2027. Let's transcend divisive factors such as tribe, slogans, and religion, and instead, focus on electing leaders based on their merit, sound ideologies, and commitment to genuine public service. Together, let's strive for a future where leadership is synonymous with responsibility and integrity, and where every voice is heard and valued. Hello everyone, After a fulfilling week at ACME software lab under the guidance of my mentor, PAUL EMUROTU, I'm thrilled to be back with some exciting findings from my recent data analysis project! During my investigation into factors influencing the length of the breastfeeding period, I uncovered some fascinating insights. 👩👩👧👦 Relationship Status Impact: My analysis revealed that individuals living with a partner or in a married relationship tend to have longer breastfeeding periods compared to those who are single or separated. 💼 Work Dynamics Matter: Interestingly, I found that working individuals, particularly those with flexible work hours or self-employed, often experience shorter breastfeeding periods compared to those with fixed regular hours or part-time jobs. 📈 Predictive Accuracy: The Cox regression model suggests moderate predictive accuracy, indicating that while relationship status and working hours play significant roles, they may not fully explain variations in breastfeeding duration.
