𝗣𝗿𝗼-𝘁𝗶𝗽: If your resume looks like this, it is obvious AI wrote it. It *might* help you get through ATS (the applicant tracking systems companies use to narrow down their candidate pool) but it will not help you stand out. AI is a great tool but, for resume writing, use it sparingly. Content matters, format matters, consistent grammar matters, and the readability of the resume matters. ➜ Remember recruiters typically view resumes for seconds before deciding whether to consider or reject a candidate. I have clients coming to me after months of job searching with AI-written resumes. If you know you have the right experience and keep getting rejection after rejection, it might be your resume. There is a lot of strategy to crafting a resume that resonates with ATS, recruiters, and hiring managers. AI hasn't learned this strategy - yet. I'll keep you posted if it evolves. 🙂 #resumewriting #careerkeystone #jobsearch

I don't fully agree with it. Months ago, I hated AI/ChatGPT and found it useless because I've been writing resumes since before AI was around and I used to review 20+ job listings per day to understand the strategy. Now, I find AI very useful because I'm learning prompts. It's all a game of prompts. To date, it's my creativity. I tell AI that I want this aspect highlighted. Sometimes it gets it, and sometimes it at least provides a foundation for something that I can further develop using my expertise. I never discourage my clients from using AI. I simply guide them on why their resume is effective because they started resume writing using only AI. But to create an effective resume, one needs training and skills from before AI existed, so you know what to eliminate from AI-written resumes and what to keep.
