The ability to distinguish among critical, major and minor defects belongs to the basic know-how of the technical inspection staff in our glassworks. However, it is a great advantage if our customers also have this knowledge. The employees from Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia, who visited our glasswork in Kyjov yesterday, know this. During the visit they had the opportunity to find out not only how and where the bottles for their beverages are produced, but above all what control steps we have in place to ensure high quality products.
Yesterday's visit combined with a plant tour was a follow-up to the training that took place last month directly at the customer's site. Its aim was to train a team of employees to be able to evaluate whether the goods that arrived from the glasswork meet their standards. During the training, they were shown bottles with manufacturing defects, explained how the defect occurs and how we deal with it at the glasswork. Subsequently, the participants were provided with an electronic catalogue of defects, which will help them in the future to determine what type of defect it is.
We believe that these joint meetings help to build mutual trust and the ability to communicate openly, which we consider as the basis for good and long-term relationships with our customers.
