#rescEU Emergency Medical Team (EMT): Boosting Europe’s response to disasters We're proud to introduce the rescEU EMT project, aimed at strengthening the medical response capacity of the Union Civil Protection Mechanism. This project, running from December 2022 to September 2026, involves establishing, training, certifying, and operationalizing twenty-one new medical capacities and specialized care teams. Led by Germany in collaboration with Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, and Türkiye, it signifies a unified effort towards boosting emergency response within the EU and the Participating States of the UCPM. 🌍 Drawing from the experience of the European Modular Field Hospital (EUMFH) project, our new capacities can be deployed individually or combined to form a pan-European field hospital (EMT level 3), emphasizing interoperability and joint training among all participating countries. The project aligns with WHO EMT standards and incorporates lessons learned from past disaster deployments. Stay tuned for updates as we pave the way for a safer, more resilient future together! #EmergencyResponse #EUCivPro #EuropeanUnion
