The Health Systems Strengthening Accelerator Open House is underway at our offices in Washington, D.C. We're thrilled to celebrate the Accelerator's achievements — and continue learning — in today's sessions. A group of speakers, including R4D's Laurel Hatt and Nathan Blanchet, kicked off today's event with a brief overview of the Accelerator's accomplishments. “We’ve seen that systems thinking is very powerful and can accelerate pathways of impact," Blanchet said. "We’ve seen this in integration of rehabilitation services, a new way to ensure safe blood for the mother that needs it to prevent postpartum hemorrhage, in moving from siloed to integrated health programs, in a holistic approach to something as critical as primary health care.” The Health Systems Strengthening Accelerator has: 🌍 Worked in 17 countries, plus provided regional support in Asia 🩺 Addressed significant and complex health challenges such as COVID-19, HIV, immunization, maternal and child health, rehabilitation and mental health 🚪 Found diverse and varied entry points for systems strengthening such as primary care networks, health financing and strategic purchasing, safe blood systems and more You can join today's Open House here: https://bit.ly/4628Rbb #HealthSystems #GlobalHealth #HealthSystemsStrengthening
