Exciting Update: The Latest Battery Atlas is Here! It's been about two years since we released the last Battery Atlas, and we're thrilled to announce that the latest version is now available! We've mapped out the competitive landscape of the entire battery lifecycle in Europe across nine detailed maps. In the coming days, the newest maps will also be updated on Battery-News, with links provided accordingly. The Atlas is a living document, meaning some information may already be outdated upon release. Data remains in the Atlas until an official statement for its removal is issued. For example, the battery production plans of SVOLT Energy Technology (Europe) GmbH in Lauchhammer have been discarded. The future of ACC - Automotive Cells Company's battery production plans in Germany is still uncertain, and Italvolt 's project has been either canceled or moved to the United Arab Emirates. A huge thank you to the entire team Merlin Frank, Benedikt Späth, Niklas Kisseler, Natalia Soldan, Jan Felix Plumeyer, Heiner Heimes, Achim Kampker and especially to Artur Scheibe, Patrizia Cacciotti, and Mischa Wyboris, for their incredible effort and organization in this final stretch! #BatteryAtlas #BatteryIndustry #Innovation #Teamwork #Sustainability #BatteryNews

In recent days, eight Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen buses have joined the fleet of Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK) in Cologne which already includes 46 Solaris hydrogen buses operating. This time, they are 18-meter-long articulated buses. The hydrogen fleet of the German carrier is already impressive, and there are still more deliveries to come. We are currently fulfilling an order for 20 additional hydrogen buses, placed in March this year: nine 12-meter and eleven 18-meter buses. Upon completion of all deliveries, RVK will have a fleet of 84 hydrogen-powered Solaris buses, the largest in Europe. Key advantages of hydrogen buses include zero-emission operation, high passenger capacity, long range on a single refuelling, and short refuelling process. These are crucial parameters for operators like RVK, who serve areas connecting rural regions with cities and transport large numbers of commuters to work every day. RVK has been implementing its hydrogen strategy for years, with our company as a proud partner in this transformation. #zeroemission #emobility #publictransport #hydrogen

With the ongoing debate in the European Parliament about the 2035 phase-out of combustion engines, it's time to reflect on the broader impact of the clean energy transition on jobs across Europe. Back in 2021, we published a crucial report, run by Boston Consulting Group (BCG), that addressed exactly this issue. Presented in the webinar below, moderated by Arne Richters & Daniel Kuepper, the report shed light on some critical trends: 📊 Employment remains stable between 2020-2030, when we include adjacent industries like battery production, charging infrastructure, and renewable energy. But big shifts are happening across sectors. 🏗️ The EV transition will require ~400k construction man-years by 2030—creating ~40k jobs per year! 🎓 2.4M workers will need dedicated training to adapt to this evolving landscape. As we approach 2035, these insights are more relevant than ever. Let’s continue the conversation on how we can ensure a smooth and sustainable shift for both the environment and European workers. https://lnkd.in/eNUGeHjj
