Obituary: shedkm co-founder Dave King helped redefine urban regeneration while also being a committed educator with a belief in future generations https://ow.ly/XB5k50UOub2
Dave King was a talented architect, a lovely man, a great design tutor and motivator for me during two of my five years at Liverpool University. I met him a few times years later in London and we would have a chat and a coffee if he wasn't rushing off to a meeting. I knew Sue too back in the 80s so my sympathies go to her and family.
Dave King was an Architectural Mentor too many young and old. Aswell as all types of influences he also brought about a graphic dimension to every project he touched. Including a special Shed “catalog” which I have in pride of place on my book shelf’s Dave will be very missed.
Huge respect :)

1dI was fortunate enough to meet Dave some years ago and photograph his Barbican flat. It was full of his trademark love of colour: green, astro-style carpet, yellow walls, blue bits and bobs. He was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed the time I spent with him, however fleeting a moment it was.
