🎉🌟 Celebrating 5 months at Blancco Technology Group as the Global Talent Acquisition Manager and I couldn't be more thrilled, grateful, and just downright excited about it! 🚀💼
I'll admit, before joining this incredible team, I had my antennas up for any red flags or signs of things going south. It's been a pattern in my previous experiences, but here at Blancco? None of that! Zilch, nada! 🚫❌ Instead, what I've found is an oasis of support, friendship, and an environment where thriving feels not just possible but inevitable.
The people here? Oh my goodness, they're not just colleagues; they've become my friends, my confidants. The kind of folks you genuinely enjoy working with, sharing ideas, and even grabbing a coffee or a virtual hangout with. It's like being part of this amazing, supportive tribe where each member truly values and uplifts one another. 🤗❤️
And the autonomy! Ah, that freedom to spread my wings and truly excel in my role. Blancco trusts and empowers its team members, allowing our creativity to soar. I've found myself embracing this sense of empowerment, letting those creative juices flow like never before. 🌈✨
Looking ahead, the sheer excitement for what's to come is bubbling over! The journey ahead at Blancco looks promising, inspiring, and full of opportunities to grow, innovate, and make a real impact. It's a place where your contributions are valued, recognised, and nurtured.
If anyone asks me about joining a fantastic team, hands down, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Blancco. If the stars align and the right opportunity pops up, it's an experience I'd encourage anyone to grab with both hands. 🌟🤝
Here's to more amazing months ahead, more collaborations, more growth, and more reasons to be grateful for being part of the fabric of Blancco! Cheers to an incredible journey! 🥂🎉

5 WAYS TO GROW YOUR #CAREER
I started working for Jollibee when I was 17. I was a service crew attendant, bussing tables, cleaning toilets, flipping burgers and making Chickenjoy. 2 weeks after that, I got promoted to being the party host. But I'm not the mascot, ok?
Fast forward to 2016.
I got invited by my first employer again but this time, to train their managers in the Vis-Min region including their franchisees. I never thought this would happen!
What's interesting is that 80% of the people you'll see in this photo all started at service crew level. And today, they're managers running multiple stores.
If I can retrace my journey and share, these are the 5 things I'd do again to grow my career:
1. Passion is not enough. You have to back it up with intense action in what you do because there are bad days too.
2. Grow your human skills. The people who get promoted are those who know how to deal with all kinds of people.
3. Respect and honour your bosses/leaders. Credit them for giving you a break or breaking you. Up or down, it builds character.
4. Give beyond what's expected. Don't return the company with the amount they paid you, but triple your effort and contribution.
5. Be a person of integrity. Choose to be honest, because your reputation is your future. Avoid politics. There are too many snakes in companies today but a person of integrity is as rare as a 3-legged cat. That's what will make you different.
Oh and love your work, so that one day, your work will love you back.
Hopefully these help change the trajectory of your career.
Just remember, "It's not how you started, it's where you're headed."

I've been awarded the "Best Team Player" award, but
I've also heard "You don't get along with the team."
Let me take you through the two different work experiences.
In the first company, I was seen as a Top Performer—delivering great results, but I always felt a bit off.
I'd go into team meetings feeling nervous, over-prepared, and unsure of myself. Whenever I tried to speak up, I'd get interrupted, and it felt like my voice wasn't heard.
When I applied for another role internally, the manager said that he heard from my team that I wasn't a team player, which really surprised me.
When I asked one of my colleagues about this what he said took me by shock, "You don't smile at me like X(another teammate of mine) when we get on a Zoom Call"
Now, onto the second company—a whole different story. I still rocked at my job, but I also became a better team player (without even trying).
I didn't shy away from meetings, always pitched in, and never avoided tough conversations.
Took up bigger responsibilities. Plus, I made lifelong friendships that I will always count on.
The big difference?
Company 2 saw me for me. They created an environment where I felt comfortable being myself.
Every day was exciting, and I never felt like I was just punching the clock.
I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Every employee there was on the same page, and we all had each other's backs.
The team shared a common value. People were not just friends but they revered each other.
-----------------------------------
What did I learn from this?
At Company 1, I just went through the motions, focused on hitting targets and cashing my checks. But at Company 2, I was making a difference and creating impact.
Companies before you talk about hiring for "culture fit," understand that it's not just about finding people who fit in—it's about creating an environment where everyone can shine.
Let's make work a place where everyone feels valued,
where being yourself is celebrated, and friendships aren't forced.

I remember starting a new position at my family's business, and while I "grew up" around the industry, it was still very new to me. Luckily, I had great mentors who have helped shape my professional career.
To anyone starting in #endoflife industry, here are my 3 pieces of advice:
1. Observe as many colleagues as you can
Sitting in on arrangements, or listening to phone calls will undoubtedly help shape your approach to meeting with families and speaking with other professionals including #funeralhomes, #cemeteries, #clergy and #healthcare organizations
2. Build your Network
Make a list of allied professionals (#trustandestates attorneys, #eldercare attorneys, financial advisors, etc.), and those who you think may benefit from your services, and reach out.
3. Ask questions
You will never regret seeking more information (and nobody knows it all!)
Starting something new is scary.
Put yourself in the shoes of someone who is brand new to a position, company, or industry and try to remember what it was like when you were in the same boat.
What are 3 things you would impart on a newly promoted team member or hire in your company?

Sales, customer success, operations at Inedo, makers of ProGet and BuildMaster.
I have reported to two founder/CEO's across 3 companies in my career and what I've found is that what they value about my work is not some innate talent but a willingness to spend time on and off the clock assessing organizational needs and devouring info and content about what other, usually larger organizations, are doing to address similar needs and then attempt to bring those capabilities to our organization.
That is all for now.
I started working at Vaaree 18 months ago, 3 days post my birthday. I was both excited and nervous to move to a new city. I wondered how long it would take to get comfortable, and if the company's talk about "culture" was real or just words on their careers page.
The first day at Vaaree was interesting. The workplace didn't have private offices. Managers and founders worked side by side with their teams, not hidden in corner offices. It gave me perspective to understand the the ins and out of different verticals and gave me more opportunities to contribute.
In the following weeks, I learned more about my job, slowly gaining confidence. With a year of relevant experience it surely was enough to take in but I got a lot more out of it. What stood out was the encouragement to make decisions and not be afraid of making "first-time" mistakes. This was a big green flag for me to understand the core and vision of the company.
I remember the day we moved from the co working space to our own office and getting a joyous feeling of getting our own desk. Even though I must admit I miss sharing desk space with my teammates and having meetings in the hallways. These memories of Vaaree will always be my favorite whenever I look back.
This journey is nothing less than a fun rollercoaster of exciting opportunities endless scope of learning. To me it's more than a job, it's a space for personal and professional growth.
