Does such talent exist on the market? I'm hiring for a unique type of talent into the team that who can do wireframe / prototyping quickly using UI/UX design tool such as Figma, meanwhile he/she should be having the in-depth know-how of AI or Machine Learning (which means better he/she is originated from tech background but have an outstanding aesthetic appreciation capability.). I'm not sure whether such talent would exist on the market. But I do know I definitely don't want to hire two separate individuals to create 10x communication burden trying to let artist/designer and geek talking at same channel.

I’m going to be a UX Engineer. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t accept a role as a SWE or full stack developer or any other position where I get to solve problems through code but I know where I want to go. I know I have to start somewhere. As I’m joining hundreds of others in the search for a junior SWE role, I‘ve been wondering… What sets me apart? If I was to dream, what would my ideal role be? I’ve traveled a twisted path to get to this point. I studied graphic design, taught science, started a business, and found my passion with coding. I prefer frontend over backend. I have a lot of experience with the aesthetic/design side of things (my wife will never let me live down the coloring class I took in college - there’s a lot to color theory!). I’m currently working on wireframing an app and love brainstorming the user flow. I don’t just know about business, I understand it firsthand. To top it off - creating something with code is my happy place. Where does that lead me? I came across this article on Medium and all I could think is, “This! First off, we love the new design – it's clean, it's modern, but it's... impossible to code😭. Like Seriously, did you use a random color generator for the palette? We've seen less complexity in a Rubik's Cube. And those curves on the buttons – are they meant to hypnotize us? Because they're working. We've been staring at them for hours trying to figure out the CSS. Also, a quick question: Do the hover effects come with a manual? We're thinking of hiring a magician to help us implement them. Seems like the only logical solution at this point. In all seriousness, your work is as beautiful as it is unfeasible. Keep it up, and we'll keep Googling "how to turn a PSD into a working website without losing our minds." Looking forward to the next challenge you throw our way! Remember that fun phase where we had Front-end Designers and they could code and appreciated HTML and CSS and the industry appreciated them back? Well I do [insert "sure grandma" meme].
