Rodale Midwest Organic Center's Research Director, Sean Stokes, spoke at a Davines North America event in Des Moines, Iowa, attended by 200 Davines salon clients. His talk emphasized the vital role of Regenerative Organic Agriculture, discussing soil health and the groundbreaking research conducted by Rodale Institute, including the Farming Systems Trial and the Diversified System Trial at the Midwest Organic Center. The goal was to educate non-farmers on how agricultural practices and soil health affect everyone in the community and to inspire them to support regenerative efforts, even if they don't farm themselves! This article provides some fascinating insights into regen viticulture in California, from the satellite sessions for the World Living Soils Forum
We were honored to take the stage last week for the Moët Hennessy World Living Soils Forum at the CIA at Copia in Napa. Our CEO, Adam Koeppel, took the stage with Agrology customers including Anna Brittain of Napa Green, Cristina Lazcano of University of California, Davis, and David Pearson of Joseph Phelps Vineyards. The group discussed soil health and regenerative agriculture, including Phelps' latest venture into the fundamentals of regenerative agriculture, where they are using Agrology to measure soil health in real time. Than you Ivo for posting. The event provided a good status update on our journey to industry regeneration and re imagination of the world's agricultural production. Its beginning to dawn on us all what #biodiversity breakdown and #climate extremes will mean to supply-chains and while the vast majority of supply and the financing of same is linked to degenerative and deeply destructive farming practices, real work is being done that change (or at least mitigate that in the future). Now we need to work to activate the BIG leavers for change: 1) Divest or increase the cost of capital the degenerative chemical and genetics input companies by banks and institutional investors (in particular the pension and insurance companies who have a direct interest in fast exponential change. You know who you are!!) 2) Ensure access to capital for training and change in farm management for farmers and landowers. From input reliant #degenerative to #naturepositive regenerative involves big psycolocial and material #risk which is compounded by increased climate volatility makes it almost impossible to change without cheap access to capital and knowledge. 3) Stop the perversity in the subsidy system, rewards good regeneration stewardship and penalise degradation of nature and natural systems. Fast move to full cost accounting and accelerate the transition by putting big windfall / profit taxes on the input corporations who for decades have been polluting and destroying our planet with impunity and deeply disturbing mafia tactics. After all, citizens (taxpayers and voters) need to know that ultimately the POLLUTER PAYS FOR DESTRUCTION of human and planetary health, right? #regenerativeleadership #regenerativeagriculture #impactinvesting Regenerate Asset Management Savory Institute European Commission European Investment Fund (EIF) European Parliament Climate-KIC Community EIT Food Climate-KIC EARA | European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture IFOAM Organics Europe Soil Association Sustainable Food Trust Sustainable Markets Initiative
Farmers at the center I want to express my appreciation for Isabella Hughes and her team at the Regenerative Agriculture Summit in Amsterdam for the continuous evolvement of the conference. The decisive majority of panels at the Summit had at least one farmer in the conversation. The opening of the Summit of Patrick Holden and the farmers of EARA | European Alliance for Regenerative Agriculture was powerful and needed to frame the further discussion. Does this mean that the private agrifood sector puts farmers in the center of their interest? Certainly not, and we'll have more to discuss on this. But it means that the team of the Summit has decided to design a conference which includes farmer voices, gives them the stage and reminds private sector stakeholders of the importance to follow suit.

Isn't regenerative agriculture just going back in time, erasing all the technological and scientific progress made in the last century? Quite the opposite! Conventional farming systems are based on a scientific paradigm that is over a century old. Regenerative farmers are using the most up-to-date science and technology, to create a system that is far more complex, intelligent, beautiful and resilient 🌿 In the second episode, we discussed the 6 key principles of regenerative agriculture with Andrew Randall, and how he applies them to his farm. 🎧 Listen to the full conversation on the Deep Seed podcast (link in comments) ----- The episode was made in partnership with Soil Capital 💚🌾 Supporting regenerative agriculture by financially rewarding farmers who improve soil health.

Have you ever had a blueberry that didn't have any taste? It's incredibly disappointing. I can say from first-hand experience (and an impact on Gurprit's yield) that Gurprit has some of the best blueberries I have ever tried, the taste was incredible. I was able to go out to his farm last year and shoot a testimonial video. This is his story about farming and working with Advancing Eco Agriculture: #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativefarming #sustainablefarming #soilhealth #planthealth #blueberry #organicfarming #organic #johnkempf #advancingecoagriculture

During the American Pecan Council meetings, Charles Rohla presented regenerative pecan courses research efforts to improve soil health and adopt regenerative agriculture. When cultivating pecans, Rohla minimizes tillage, implements cover crops, and incorporates livestock to add benefits to improve both soil fertility and the health of the trees, while also offering opportunities for diversification and extra revenue through practices such as silvopasture. #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativefarming #climate #food #pecans https://lnkd.in/eBGYDYeW
