India observed, supposedly more than 55 Deg C. We do not understand well or we do and we behave in a way but water pollution is more serious than air pollution not to say that air is not Water pollution is never evident , we can not see on spot . it is almost invisible as it pollutes our oceans and all our continents. Air and water both are precious for life. I am happy that I see now effects of looming European laws on fashion brands and this will change the entire landscape of supply chain and Brands. You can see that a lot brand and supplychain are being integrated in a way that a complete traceability exists and Brands also will have control . Now this landscape will happen in very complex way, big to big ones is okay, brands will have to have cooperation to avoid doing the same through supply chain I see that small supply will not be able to sustain heavy pollution norms that will come in India. We could see Prime Minister and government talk about India being green and such climate impacts. Small ones even in Tirupur is now at end of life cycle. What will become important will be how Brands will establish sustainability that avoids water pollution , health of workers and health of final consumers. besides the time is against them. Building schools, buiding a water tank in a village , showing women at work place are all ok but they really not the most important part of sustainability in Fashion industry. Brands need a high scalable innovation( a weapon) which is clearly applied in existing system which can take care of all above parameters with proof . This is possible and not a myth.
