Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) can be applied in various applications, such as electronic devices, nanocomposites, supercapacitors, and batteries. The battery application holds the largest potential market due to the significant shift towards electric vehicles. But SWCNTs have intrinsic issues with low dispersibility and agglomeration. The strongly aggregated CNTs need to be perfectly dispersed in liquids for commercial product applications to enhance their performance. High-pressure homogenization is a preferred method for dispersing SWCNTs because it causes relatively little direct damage to the particles and can maintain their physical properties compared to other processes. The process also boasts excellent reproducibility, is easy to scale up, and offers fast production speed.
