We're sharing a significant piece of research conducted by the Scottish Trauma Audit Group (STAG) for Public Health Scotland, which analysed data from 1,326 paediatric patients in Scotland over four years. 📊 Key Findings 🔹 48% of major trauma injuries in under 16s are caused by moving vehicles 🔹 Home is the most common place for injuries of all severities, with 30% of incidents occurring there 🔹 Major trauma is most common in children under 2 and those aged 12 to 15 🔹 99% of children survive following a severe injury This research aims to inform trauma care and injury prevention in Scotland.
