Ask any sales or marketing professional… Launching new products and building new territories is not easy. Over a year ago my husband, Dean Peaple , joined this company to launch a new division of window coverings. Through operations and production challenges, changes in leadership and the minimal marketing support common with ‘startups’ - my husband never gave up! I have watched him be tenacious and creative, using common sense, guerilla tactics, and teamwork- always finding a way. I know the road is long, - and I admire my husbands patience and perseverance. When you work hard and see a reward with a Win like this- you have to celebrate! Most of us are so busy doing the work we do- we forget to take time to celebrate the wins. It’s as easy as 123… 1. Take a moment to reflect on your wins 2. Be proud of your accomplishments, 3. Share your gratitude with those that helped you achieve your goals. Celebrate the Wins!

Advisor teams that are considered must have one advisor with a minimum of seven years of experience, have been in existence as a team for at least one year, have at least 5 team members, and have been nominated by their firm. Regular recognition isn’t just good for morale—it’s a powerful antidote to burnout. How do you celebrate your team’s successes?

Follow your assignment

One of my favourite tactics for celebrating wins and giving your team recognition that is meaningful to them: Email a summary of the win to your own boss, perhaps even the CEO of the company, and cc your team member(s) who is responsible for the win. If your boss or CEO isn't a natural replier to emails, back channel a message to them and ask them to reply and acknowledge the win. It means more to your team that you'll ever realise to get recognition from those above you.
