Consul Richard H. Glenn, a career United States diplomat for more than 25 years, is currently the United States Consul General in Sao Paulo. Before his arrival in Brazil, the diplomat served as Chargé d'Affaires and Minister Counselor at the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile. Consul Richard Glenn also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Washington, D.C., where he oversaw programs to combat illicit drugs and organized crime. and supported law enforcement initiatives and promotion of the rule of law. He was also responsible for the Air Wing program, which provides air support for U.S. Missions abroad and provides technical and operational assistance to partner nation law enforcement institutions in Latin America. It will be a pleasure to honor the invitation to participate on the 9th Operational Safety Symposium as a representative of HUB Airlines to operate at Aeroportos Brasil Viracopos SA , our 3rd consecutively participation antecipating our flights. Since our inception and first talks in 2017, we have been working with VCP to begin international operations with the first concept of Long-Haul Low-Cost at Low-Fare airline worldwide yet being ESG. All based on Safety, Efficiency and Economy. We never change this sequence as this will not bring SAFETY, as it must be. As a pilot and professional involved in professional training investments for the airline industry since 1999, I always motivate myself to learn how I could improve safety to the industry and have seen in 2023 non fatal accidents in commercial aviation, and our goal is daily mentioned in meetings, to work towards building the safest airline in the world.
