We visited McGohan Brabender at their Dayton offices today! We got to see their Victory Cart, media room, and hallway, which is decked out with images of the whole staff! Business or Pleasure asked my Uber driver. 🤔 I paused…then stated “yes” since it was fully both. I got to spend a long weekend with some amazing people. The focus of the weekend was on being better men; at home, at work, with our families and responsibilities. Men need camaraderie, we need encouragement, we need normalization of the challenges of life. I loved the time together and the people gathered. Most I had known briefly, all I know better today. ♥️ Thank you Ryan Miller for initiating and facilitating. You impact lives my friend! We spent time together: talking, sharing meals, learning, playing, laughing, and having fun. 😎 Taylor Miles Mark A. There are some things I try really hard not to share on certain online platforms. A good example of this are things like politics and religious affiliations. Although you might be able to guess where I stand based on some of my more obvious values, I will rarely come out and say it, especially on LinkedIn where I value professional decorum. But… There is one thing I’m proud to advertise and will not back down from. And that is being #AntiBUCA. I spent over a decade inside the machine and I remain ashamed of the role I played. I didn’t know any better, until I did… The only thing that provided me redemption from the guilt of being part of the problem for so long was becoming a public part of the solution. I advertise my stance, though I’m sure most people have no idea what it really means outside of these avenues. But I do. And I’m living my truth. And that feels really darn good. So, what is a stance you’re proud to take publicly, even if it’s unpopular?

What about patients with complex needs? Navigating the US healthcare system is hard. Navigating the US healthcare system with a complex condition is harder. What if your condition is not easily diagnosed? What if your condition requires unique support for ongoing management? Ann Lewandowski Steve Ditto and I will be presenting on this topic at Health Rosetta in September. Ann and Steve are awesome and I am fortunate to get to spend time with them and learn more about their journey and their passion to make a positive impact for patients. 😃 Thank you Dave Chase, Health Rosetta-discovering archaeologist and LynAnn Henderson for highlighting the patient experience this year at the conference. Health Rosetta I'd love to hear more success stories regarding health plan designs that shift the needle regarding care access for complex conditions. Please reach out.

Being patient-centric is important. But you can’t really understand patient needs until you’ve been one. Or maybe heard one speak. That’s why you should go to RosettaFest. I’m happy to join Ann Lewandowski and moderator Ryan Jankord to speak about our experiences as patients navigating the healthcare system. Our goal is to provide insights into the benefits employees will need and value while having a positive impact on the bottom line. Should be a good session for employers, health plans, brokers, and advisers.
