Selling the cheapest! Selling the Best Quality! For many years I have seen sellers selling industry products. In many cases they do anything to sell even if they are not meeting the technical requirements. And purchasers, in many cases, they also succumb to the ridiculous low prices offered. I remenber once I was trying to close a deal with a very important engineering company. They sent the engineering specs and we were meeting them with our high quality product produced in Europe. We made an incredible discount since the project was massive. The purchase engineer asked me to make a 90% extra discount. I just explained him that was impossible and even with our product manufactured in China we would not reach those prices. His solution was for me to reduce the safety of our product in China and offer a simpler product, in order to meet the prices. It was all about prices. I walked away and someone else got the deal. Someone who had "the best prices and the best quality". Everybody has pressures: the seller needs to sell and the purchaser needs to prove he is saving costs. But we are getting in a very dangerous zone if we do not respect the tech specs.
