(TSX V.ALDE)’s majority owned Altar project hosts over 13bil pounds of copper and almost 4m oz gold already, a world class-sized copper/gold resource. Aldebaran’s massive copper endowment has received an interest from Australian copper producer South32, which has made two rounds of investments into Aldebaran since 2020. We see all the major economically viable deposits in this region as potential takeover targets, because the copper endowment is too big to disregard for a major producer. #cdfund #commodities #metals #event

Angèle Delo began panning with mercury in her town in southeastern Burkina Faso at the age of 12. Now she is one of 116 miners who are newly equipped with skills to process ore without the use of this toxic metal, thanks to a new vocational training program developed by planetGOLD #BurkinaFaso. Angele plans to not only use this training for her own work, but to also raise awareness among her fellow women miners, especially in the town of Poura where many women still work using mercury. Meet Angele in episode 12 of planetGOLD's #DispatchesFromTheField series. Funded by the Global Environment Facility, the planetGOLD Burkina Faso project is implemented by UNIDO and executed by the Artisanal Gold Council. 📺 Catch all other episodes in the series here: https://lnkd.in/gdcfjN-J #MakeMercuryHistory #ResponsibleMining #WomenInMining #EthicalGold #ResponsibleSourcing #mercuryfree
