The latest professional practice standards for pharmacists has a new standard that includes guidance for pharmacists administering any medicine. https://lnkd.in/gupsdGvJ We covered this in depth during another great session at the #PSA23 conference that included gurus from three areas of practice Dr Shane Jackson, John Jones and Hannah Knowles What stood out from this session, not only the element of the administering medicines, but the universal standards -person centred care, collaborative practice and responsibility and accountability. Not surprisingly from these leaders, Person Centred Care was the main driver of innovation across each practice area discussed. Thanks to brilliant insights from consumers through Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) who were integral to the development of the new Standards. Recent advancements in Cystic Fibrosis(CF) treatment, led by Vertex’s CFTR modulators and the breakthrough Trikafta/Kaftrio has been hailed as most effective CF Therapy to date. Vertex’s new vanza triple therapy, effective in trials, awaits market assessment for its impact on CF therapy leadership. GlobalData predicts that sales of Trikafta will reach $10.4 billion in 2030. In addition to existing CF portfolio, Vertex has submitted regulatory marketing applications for its once-daily vanzacaftor triple combination, also known as the vanza triple therapy (vanzacaftor/tezacaftor/deutivacaftor) with the European Medicines Agency and the US Food and Drug Administration. #Trikafta #Vanzatriple Vertex Pharmaceuticals https://lnkd.in/gddqMZ4S
