July 27th, LONG TRACK RACE!!!! Yes, that's right, Saturday night the 27th we will be using BOTH SIDES so bring your walking shoes if you plan to crash, 😂🤣😁 This will be 7" specific so if you have a 7'incher you like to show off, this is the race for you! 🍆🌶 This is primarily a Street League points race. (The other half from the one we held during Mayhem earlier this year.) Depending on if enough people have them, we may also throw in a heat or two of the MultiGP Pro Spec 7'inchers, just know these won't be seeded into finals and won't get SL points from those heats. OR... We may run the entire SL race and then run some Pro Spec heats for fun afterward, again all depends on if we have enough folks wanting to do that, so here's your "Heads-Up". Growing up in North Carolina, I was captivated by the thrilling world of racing. A common saying I often heard was, “Races are won and lost in the pits.” This not only applies to racing, but is incredibly relevant to manufacturing as well. Just as precision and timing determine the outcome on the race track, the same principles determine success in manufacturing. The most successful plants are those that plan and execute maintenance with precision. Like a finely-tuned pit crew, every maintenance activity should be meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. Implementing strategic, planned maintenance and repair maximizes efficiency, reduces downtime, and extends the life of equipment. It’s not just about fixing equipment when it breaks down; it’s about preventing those breakdowns or detecting them early, ensuring that the plant consistently operates at peak performance. Inspriation can be drawn from the precision of the F1 pit stops shown below. This level of rigor and foresight can be applied to all maintenance practices. Teamwork is everything.

When everyone leans into their own expertise… and is emotionally and professionally mature enough to stay in their “own lane”… the team hits its stride and performs amazingly. I’ve worked with folks who couldn’t spell TEAM. I’ve had days when I’ve “dropped the tire” myself. Respect is the oil that reduces friction and streamlines things, helping the team find its rhythm and function at the highest level. Each station of the pit crew focuses on maximum performance of their responsibility: they don’t waste time sticking their nose into the other stations; they trust each other. And, they trust the ONE crew chief to manage the entire effort. And now we all watch in awe of this crew and wonder “how’d they do that?” How? It starts with trust. #leadership #businesssuccess #success #trust
