#Socialjustice begins with #access and #freedom Millions of Nigerians rely on our roads daily, but for many, navigating these roads is a challenge due to a lack of accessibility. It’s time to ensure our streets, walkways, and public spaces are safe and accessible for everyone—regardless of physical ability. Join us in advocating for better road accessibility across Nigeria. Let’s push for more ramps, tactile pavements, accessible public transport, and clear signage that empowers all citizens to move freely and safely. Together, we can build a more inclusive Nigeria! 🇳🇬 JONAPWD NIGERIA David Owumi #InclusiveRoadsNG #AccessibilityMatters #SafeStreetsForAll #DisabilityRights #AdvocacyInAction

In light of Nigeria's substantial population growth (224.6 million, growing at 2.38% annually), the nation faces critical challenges in public housing. Key issues include inadequate infrastructure, poor road networks, and a reduction in housing durability, disproportionately impacting lower and middle-class families. Recent efforts like the Family Homes Fund reveal a need for more inclusive and coordinated policy reforms. Aligning with the United Nations' SDG 11 could guide Nigeria towards offering high-quality, affordable housing by 2030, ensuring a better future for all citizens. 🏙️ Rapid population growth in urban areas in Ghana has exceeded water infrastructure development, leaving less than half of Accra’s households with piped water. Ghana Water Limited has implemented water connection subsidies to solve this, benefiting over 16,000 households since 2017. ❌ However, despite these efforts, pinpointing and assisting the most vulnerable populations remains challenging due to the absence of comprehensive maps detailing underserved communities. 💡 To solve this gap, USAID (URBAN WASH) is mapping low-income communities in Ghana. #URBANWASH has mapped 38 vulnerable communities in Accra, benefiting approximately 298,000 people—a significant stride toward achieving water equity. 🗺️ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/edz94FNC USAID Global Waters | Tetra Tech International Development | #Ghana
