Each year, Dying Matters Awareness Week serves as a catalyst for communities across the UK to engage in conversations about death and dying in their own unique ways. This year's theme, "The way we talk about Dying Matters," underscores the importance of language and dialogue surrounding end-of-life care, particularly between healthcare professionals, patients, carers, and families. Why does the way we talk about Dying Matters matter? Open and honest conversations about death and dying are vital for guaranteeing high-quality end-of-life care. Yet, challenges like reluctance, cultural stigmas, and confusion over who should take the lead in these discussions frequently leave patients and families feeling unaware and without adequate support. #dyingmatters #awareness # conversation #stevepritchardjones

#HarrisonHealthHack Kelly from our Vancouver referrals team reminds us of the importance of self-care. Many of our clients, like her, are part of the #sandwichgeneration, caring for both children and aging family members. She advises us to "always fill up your cup," because if you are taking care of others and never looking out for yourself, it can have a huge impact on your relationships and overall health. "As a mother, I've learned that whether it's reading or going for a solo walk, taking the time to do something just for you is crucial, whenever you need it." #TeamTips #StaffEngagement #PreventiveHealthcare #ProactiveHealthHabits

This is a PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY! The Cult of Trump is real, and it’s exerting influence every single day. People are being brainwashed by Trump’s tactics, and we need to take action. Here are the three key steps we need to take right now: 1. Preventative Education- Inoculation 2. Training therapists, families and friends for strategic Interaction 3. Support for Recovery I’ve been actively working on these fronts, modeling what needs to be done. Our country is deeply polarized, and the only way to heal is to help those caught in MAGA’s grip understand that there is a way out. Share this with your loved ones to remind them: no matter how deep someone is, there’s always hope for change. #cults #cultexpert #cultsurvivor #BITEmodel #cultoftrump #donaldtrump
