In 2024, International Women’s Day is a reminder of how far we’ve come – and how far there is to go. We have the power to prevent violence against women by building relationships, communities, organisations and institutions based on respect and equality. Feeling grateful to those who have come before who have driven so much change and full of urgency for the change that must still be won. #iwd2024
All women deserve to be safe, equal, and respected. Right now, in Australia, that isn’t the reality but we have the power to change that. Violence against women isn’t a ‘given’ or something that ‘just happens.’ It’s preventable if we choose to challenge the ideas that drive it. This #internationalwomensday, we’re asking you to join us in the movement to prevent violence against women and to help create a future where we are all safe, equal, and respected.
