This is an example of how sustainability actions can be explained to consumers.
From theory to action, from strategy to explaining it to consumers.

With an increasing global demand for biofuels and the need to protect our environment, let’s look at ISCC - a Global Sustainability Certification System that supports sustainability in supply chains through certification. The goal is to support organizations to achieve sustainable, accountable and environmentally-friendly supply chains in their operations. Through the adoption of recycled materials or materials derived from bio-waste, organizations can boost their transition to a circular economy – better for the Earth and for everyone. 🌳

We are proud to share our 2023 #sustainabilityreport, which explores the strides we’ve made over the past year, the challenges we’ve faced, and the innovative solutions we’ve developed alongside our customers and other key partners across the value chain. In 2023, our company achieved 86% reusable, recyclable, or compostable #FMCG packaging, increased our use of renewable energy by 65%, met our Scope 1 and 2 (operational) greenhouse gas emissions target two years early, and so much more.
But sustainability extends beyond the environment, encompassing care for our 40,000+ global employees and more than 250 global manufacturing and innovation center communities. It’s about creating a #positiveimpact the reaches beyond our company’s walls.
We added new disclosures that hold us and our value chain partners more accountable for sustainability progress, including a new biodiversity impact disclosure and increased transparency in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion reporting to show a new breakdown of U.S. ethnic minority groups.
We are pleased to share this progress with you, united as #OneBerry, and look forward to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible as a #corporatecitizen to #BMoreTogether by driving value for all of our stakeholders, including the environment. Did you know B-Corps are 4.5 times more likely to use 100% renewable energy? B-Corps are over seven times more likely to be carbon-neutral, which means they remove as much carbon pollution from the air as they put in. And in 2021 alone, B Corps offset 2.1 million tons of carbon pollution.
At karmadharma, with the support of our proactive Green Committee, we've taken significant steps to deepen our environmental responsibility and integrate planet-friendly practices into our daily operations. Here's what we've accomplished so far:
💚 Rolled out a comprehensive recycling program.
💚 Switched to exclusively using recyclable coffee pods.
💚 Initiated company-wide clean-up efforts.
💚 Adopted biodegradable cleaning products certified by B-Corp.
Let's celebrate this commitment to sustainability, not just this B-Corp Month but every month.

The TIME magazine has recently published their first list of the 500 World's Most Sustainable Companies. While the recognition of sustainability leaders is commendable, the absence of any major agricultural corporations was glaring.
Sectors like technology (20%), healthcare (15%), energy (12%), and consumer goods (10%) dominated the list, but agricultural corporations are notably missing. These industries have a clear path towards sustainability – reducing emissions, embracing renewable energy, and improving resource efficiency. Agriculture, however, presents a more complex challenge.

At Symrise, principles of circular economy form the basis of our business model.
Our goal: Ideally, all products that we manufacture should be fully biodegradable. This applies to all origins. Then, they should get further “metabolized” and, following use, safely returned to nature.
Also, circular economy entails a shift in the energy supply from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. This helps to decouple economic activities from the consumption of limited resources.
