HEART CRY FOR RADICAL THINKING IN CHILDREN'S HEALTHCARE Why is there no public investment in many health charities that alleviate pressure on the NHS who have proven highly effective at supporting 'at risk' children and young people? Please read the opinion piece below. Share it. Connect. Let's do some collaborative, far-sighted planning to create equity. This is critical because so many charities are under immense strain in the cost of living/cost of giving crisis. You're absolutely right Sarah, we and other charities/patient organisations have been supporting the NHS and people with chronic long-term conditions for many years and get no funding at all from any statutory source. All third sector organisations have seen a drop in income of between 30-40% since pre-pandemic times and reserves will not last forever. We will join you at the table when talking to government/MPs/NHS.

Well said Sarah Randell this is indeed a crazy situation. The work we do in so many ways relieves pressure on the NHS yet we have little funding towards it from any statutory sources across 4 nations. It means we also need to think carefully about our costs moving forward in order to ensure sustainablility. Thanks for highlighting.
