💡 A milestone again at MT Aerospace AG: Krypton application for spacecraft high-pressure vessels qualified - an advance for space technology. #Krypton, a rare noble gas, is provided by in our vessels as fuel for electric propulsion systems used for spacecraft guidance and positioning. While fictional kryptonite is a disadvantage for Superman 🦸♂️, real-world krypton is proving to be a powerful, forward-looking #resource in space technology. Krypton is a better-than-Xenon available and cheaper, yet a highly efficient propellant starting to be used in space technology, paving the way for otherwise unfeasible missions and spacecraft endurance. #Qualification and subsequent provision of a suitable pressure vessel for storage is a milestone on the way towards improved cost and #efficiency of #satellite 🛰 missions. #electricpropulsion #space #hightechnology

What are your thoughts on standardizing satellites with a deorbit interface? I like the concept and would go a step further and say sats should also have a mechanical boom for deorbit as a mechanical drag device can still deliver controlled and safe deorbit in the event of propulsion failure or help sats that do not have propulsion. A drag device would be a great back-up and should be standard. Orbotic Systems Inc More importantly, we have to find someone to pay to clean up space junk. That’s the biggest issue. Is it time to add a surcharge to all satellites to cover these costs?

So, I need some insight into the use of electro-magnetic devices on spacecraft, specifically, solenoids. I'm aware there are issues with electro-magnetic interference from some devices used in space, expecially if used during release from a rideshare mission and/or in proximity to other spacefraft.... does anyone have any specific experience with this would be willing to have a chat and advise on it? #ukspace #satellites

The scenario begins with setting the FiniteBurn object's AttitudeSystem to 'Attitude'. As the spacecraft reaches its designated orbit point, it rotates into the calculated Euler angles to align for the burn. The thrusters then fire, steering the spacecraft with precision according to their distinct orientations. During the mission's critical phase, the spacecraft's tail flashes green, signaling the burn's commencement. Upon completion, it reverts to red as the spacecraft coasts into its new trajectory. This year will be full of launches of our systems, both imagers and camera systems, and one of them is the first flight of the Ariane 6 rocket 🚀 We're so happy and proud to support the amazing YPSAT Mission, whose goal is to capture phases of Ariane 6’s first-ever flight – from fairing separation to the deployment of each of its payloads, as well as views of Earth 🌏 and space from orbit! Our camera system consists of two cameras and electronics placed on the top of satellite's surface, and its job will be to record the moments of the fairing separation and the deployment of the CubeSats 🛰 Doesn't is sound pretty cool? We think so! The launch is scheduled 📅 for June–July 2024, and recordings from our camera system will be available after the launch. 9th of June will mark a great milestone for whole European space. Ariane 6 rocket launch window starts at 18:00 GMT and hopefully everything will go smooth and rocket done on behalf of European Space Agency - ESA by ARIANESPACE will reach orbit in its maiden flight. We can argue whether or not Ariane 6 is technically outdated or just expensive. It’s not the case here. Geopolitics show us that we as Europe must have our own independent access to space. We have IRIS2, Galileo and many more governmental missions and spacecrafts that could benefit from having dedicated launch with European entity. Of course, Ariane 6 is a great teamwork of whole European sector, but I’m specifically proud that we have our own camera system (SCS) from Scanway Space on-board. It will look for fairing separation and CubeSat deployment (hello Daniela Jovic from Spacemanic, hello Elena Eyngorn from Exolaunch ;) ) Whole project, named YPSAT is being done together with ESA.
