These are significant risk factors that often lead to poor mental health and suicide outcomes. Workers experiencing common mental health challenge such as stress, anxiety, and depression can compromise safety for everyone, not to mention associated absenteeism, reduced productivity, and high turnover rates that directly impact the business bottom line. Addressing human challenge in construction, through creating environments that support good mental health, safety and wellbeing can help reduce many barriers to self-care and help seeking. The knock on effect? Improved health, safety and wellbeing for everyone (employers, employees, communities, families and beyond).
