Last week, HEC Paris and its entire #ecosystem around solutions for #ClimateChange were present at ChangeNOW Summit. A great opportunity to bring together collaborators, students, HEC Alumni, professors and mentors, clubs and associations like HEC Transition, and also startups from the HEC Paris - Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute programs such as Incubateur HEC Paris and CDL-Paris (Creative Destruction Lab). A union of #changemakers tackling the issue of Climate Change in different ways, whether through #research, #teaching, #action, business, or high technology. 𝗠𝗜𝗕 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗨𝗟𝗧 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗨𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 In a display of innovation and leadership, a team of ambitious students from the 𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 at the MIB Trieste School of Management has successfully advanced to the second round of the prestigious Hult Prize Foundation UNLIMITED competition. The team, comprising Patrick T., Sebastián Díaz Muzio, Camila Belledi, Eliza Cerveira, PMP, LSSGB, and Federico Berra, has distinguished themselves with their Startup #MINDO, by being selected among other 360 candidates 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 from more than 100 countries. MINDO is a platform that enables older people to fully participate in modern society, by following personalized step-by-step tutorials for their digital tasks. The project quickly evolved into a collaborative venture between their international backgrounds and diverse complementary expertise. This entrepreneurial approach exemplifies MIB's educational philosophy, which encourages students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, while focusing on sustainable development goals, and having a positive social impact.. Reflecting on the experience so far, team members shared that engaging in NPD for the first time provided them with unique, introspective opportunities and a deeper understanding of their capabilities and future directions. The next phase of the competition, dubbed '𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀', will take place at 𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗚 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 at the end of June. Here, the team will present their social venture through a detailed pitch to a panel of experts. 📢Danube Cup 2024 international pitching competition at the Johannes Kepler Universität Linz🎓 This year's Danube Cup will take place at #JKU in May 2024 and the LIT Open Innovation Center is hosting this event. A total of 16 international start-up teams from eight universities in four countries will compete against each other, including two teams from the JKU.🚀 👥 The teams go through the national pre-selection in advance. 💫 We created another international project on behalf of Selcuk University! I am happy to share this excitement with you. In Selcuk University coordination, our KA2 project named "Young Green Entrepreneurship Ecosystem", which is supported by the "European Union" with a grant of 250.000 Euros and will last for 30 months, has officially started on 01.06.2024. Our valuable partners that we will work together in our project are "Konya Büyükşehir Belediyesi, (Konya Metropolitan Municipality) Konya Sanayi Odası, (Konya Chamber of Industry) InnoPark (Innopark Technology Development Zone), Bifröst University (Iceland), Umbria Chamber of Commerce - Italy, Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București (Romania). The expertise of each of them in their own field makes our project more valuable. Within the scope of our project, we will first create innovative training modules for young entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors and manufacturers, which are free from classical training content. We will deliver these modules to everyone completely free of charge through an e-learning platform. In addition, we plan to create an "ecosystem platform" where all these stakeholders, potential funding pools, markets and incubation centres come together. With the help of Artificial Intelligence it is aimed to match stakeholders with each other according to their interests and to solve needs and problems. At the last stage, a policy report will be prepared for policy makers. All achievements will be publicised at an international conference and a panel discussion. We will continue to work and create to contribute to the society and our university both in this project and in future projects.
