MS Biostatistics candidate at Harvard University | Passionate about transformative healthcare solutions.
🔬 Thrilled to share the latest breakthrough from Ju Lab at the University of Sydney! Our latest study, led by first author Yunduo Charles Zhao, introduces a Vein-Chip platform for modeling cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). 🧠With a focus on COVID-19 vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia, the Vein-Chips replicate CVST vascular anatomy and hemodynamic profiles. 💉These personalized Vein-Chips, drew inspiration from the traditional Chinese movable type methodology, developed through a cost-effective technique, allow in-vitro thrombosis assays, revealing distinct scenarios between normal and dysfunctional endothelial conditions. 🙌🏻The findings promise improved CVST management and prevention. 🤩Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to impactful studies like this under the guidance of A/Prof Lining Arnold Ju. The close collaboration with Ju Lab has been instrumental in shaping my research skills, and I’m excited to continue this journey as a research assistant and a Snow Medical Fellowship Program trainee during my gap year. 👩🏻🔬Looking forward to making meaningful contributions to the team! 🚀 #Research #Science #Teamwork [Link to the article: https://lnkd.in/gWyUuYpY]
